A car rolled on its roof in a busy tunnel, causing traffic chaos with traffic jams for 10 miles.

The vehicle crashed into another car in the M5 tunnel near Bardwell Valley, in Sydney’s south, at 6.40am on Tuesday.

Traffic has been backed up for 10 miles and commuters have been warned of lengthy delays.

Two of the three eastbound lanes remain closed.

Motorists are advised to reduce speed to 40 km/h.
