Lydia Bright reveals she got pregnant three days after going off birth control and says a tarot card reading predicted she would have a child

Lydia Bright has revealed that she got pregnant just three days after going off birth control, despite fears she would struggle with her fertility.

The 32-year-old mother-of-one appeared on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast to discuss all things motherhood following the birth of her daughter Loretta in February 2020.

The former TOWIE star confessed, “it happened so fast, about three days.”

“I thought once you’ve been on birth control for a long time, I was on it for years, it might take some time for that to come out of your system.” I more or less assumed that I wouldn’t have my period for a long time and wouldn’t be able to get pregnant.’

Lydia also revealed that she has polycystic ovaries so also assumed she wouldn’t get pregnant because of this.

Meant to be a mother: The 32-year-old revealed that despite being on the pill for years and expecting it to take at least six months, she was pregnant within three days

“I have polycystic ovaries, so throw that in there. Yes, I thought it would take a while.’

Lydia shares her daughter with her ex-partner Lee Cronin and the couple continues to co-parent the child.

When discussing the couple’s plans to have a baby, the star revealed that a tarot card reading predicted her pregnancy while on an influencer trip in Mykonos.

‘WI did angel cards and it said I was going to have a baby, and pretty soon after I got pregnant.”

“Me and Loretta’s dad were together for two years and around the time I got pregnant there was talk of me using birth control and we were going to try.

“I thought it might take a while. So I thought, you know, I’ll get off. And hopefully it could happen in six months to a year, I was nowhere near planning to get pregnant as quickly as I did.”

The timing couldn’t have been worse for Lydia, who was booked to appear on Channel 4’s Celebrity Hunted the moment she found out she was expecting.

“I actually started filming celebrities when I was pregnant. And of course I didn’t want to be pregnant while filming that. We were on the run and you know I had to bring my A game.

“I didn’t, and I was out first. Thank God. I had morning sickness. It was horrible.’

Lydia also opened up about being a single parent after breaking up with Loretta’s father during her pregnancy.

Though she said she struggled throughout the pregnancy, she admits she’s “super grateful” now.

I think maybe it’s for the best that it happened when I was pregnant because I’ve always done it alone.

“You always have to think that everything in life happens for a reason…Maybe I should have been a single mother so I can share my experience with other people who are going through the same thing, because look, I’m not the first woman to left behind when she’s pregnant, and I won’t be the last.’

She confirmed that she and Lee are in a great place now: “I never wanted people to maybe have the wrong feeling about him, but he’s not a bad person. It’s just life is life, isn’t it?’
