Lupine appoints Jeffrey Kindler and Alfonso ‘Chito’ Zulueta as independent directors

Pharma giant Lupine Ltd on Thursday announced the appointment of former Pfizer chairman and CEO Jeffrey Kindler and Alfonso ‘Chito’ Zulueta as independent directors to its board of directors.

Kindler is currently the CEO of Centrexion Therapeutics, a private biotechnology company, Senior Advisor to Blackstone, Operating Partner at ARTIS Ventures and Global Chair of the GLG Institute, Lupine said in a filing with the regulator.

He brings more than four decades of business experience and holds leadership positions at some of the most renowned companies in the world, including Pfizer, where he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and at McDonald’s Corporation and General Electric Company, the company said .

Previously, he was a partner at law firm Williams & Connolly.

Zulueta is currently non-executive chairman of the board of Interpharma Investments Ltd, the holding company of Zuellig Pharma, one of Asia’s largest healthcare groups, Lupine said.

He is also President & CEO of CZ Ventures, a company focused on startup investments, and a member of the board of directors of Glooko, CTS Corporation and Bridge PayDay Solutions.

He spent more than thirty years in various positions of increasing responsibility at Eli Lilly and Company.
