Luke Littler’s dad is stunned by his 16-year-old son’s ‘crazy’ win over Raymond van Barneveld at World Championships and says ‘he could go all the way!’

Luke Littler's father has expressed his disbelief at his son's victory over Raymond van Barneveld at the PDC World Championships.

16-year-old Littler continued his remarkable run at the tournament, winning 4-1 to secure his place in the quarter-finals.

Littler is now guaranteed to win at least £50,000 and his father believes he can go all the way.

Littler's father Anthony told Sky Sports: 'I can't believe it. He just defeated a legend. I don't know what to say.

'He watched Barney when he was three and he just beat him – it's crazy!

Before beating van Barneveld, Littler had managed to beat Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding and Matt Campbell.

The next match for Littler will be a clash against Brendan Dolan, who managed to beat Gary Anderson.

Littler believes he is capable of success, but stated that he is currently focused solely on beating Dolan.

He said: 'It's unbelievable. I don't know what to say. I did it. I feel like myself. I feel like myself. Let's focus on Brendan.'

Before his match against Van Barneveld, Littler shared a video in which he imitated the Dutchman when he was just three years old.
