Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler has revealed how he feels about losing the final of the Dutch Darts Masters to Michael van Gerwen.
The 17-year-old star continued his rise to the top of the darts rankings this week by reaching the final in Den Bosch.
However, he was defeated 8-6 by three-time world champion Van Gerwen, who had fallen to Littler in the final in Bahrain last weekend.
Little described it as an ‘incredible game’ and vowed to seize the opportunities despite his defeat
‘I will take the positive aspects of this. It was an incredible game. “I put a lot of pressure on Michael, but he just wouldn’t miss,” he said.

Little also praised the fans in the arena, saying, “The crowd was great. They wanted Michael to win and I understand that, but respect for Michael.”
Meanwhile, a delighted Van Gerwen said: ‘Luke Littler will have a bright future ahead of him, we all know that. His scoring ability is enormous. He doesn’t worry about anything and does his own thing.
‘I needed my best performance. It’s great to win this trophy and beat Luke Littler in front of a home crowd.”
Littler will be back in action on Thursday evening when he makes his Premier League Darts debut in Cardiff.
He will look to avenge his final defeat at the World Darts Championship when he takes on Luke Humphries again in the last 16.
“I can’t wait to go to Cardiff for the Premier League next week,” Littler added. ‘Hopefully I can continue my good form there.’
