- Luke Littler reached the semi-finals of Premier League Darts Night 16
- He defeated Peter Wright 6-4 and notably produced three consecutive double 20s
- The darts star will now face Michael Smith after beating Nathan Aspinall
Luke Littler put in an outrageous performance on Thursday evening, edging past two-time world champion Peter Wright to hit an incredible triple double 20 to seal a 6-4 win.
The 17-year-old now advances to the semi-finals of Premier League Darts Night 16 in Sheffield, taking on Michael Smith later tonight after beating Nathan Aspinall.
The PDC World Darts Championship finalist started slowly by his standards against Wright, giving him a 2-1 lead in the first three legs.
Despite this, he would bounce back to claim the next three legs, most notably hitting three consecutive double 20s to take a 3–2 lead over Wright.
His imperious performance stunned ‘Snakebite’, with the 54-year-old turning back to his table before taking a large drink of water as the Utilita Arena crowd went wild with the 17-year-old’s performance.

Kicking into second gear, Littler claimed the next leg, before Wright produced two 180s to stop the teenager and pull back a leg at 4-3.
But Littler would regain his two-leg lead shortly afterwards with a 5–3 lead, and despite a late comeback from Wright, who took the penultimate change, Littler would close the match 6–4.
It means that the Brit has now defeated Wright twice in a row in the quarter-finals on the Premier League Darts circuit.
The teenager defeated the Scot 6-1 on night 15, but was then defeated by Michael van Gerwen himself in the resulting semi-final.
Tonight’s result means Littler will finish top of the Premier League Darts leaderboard after qualifying for the play-offs at the O2 in London on May 23. He is joined by Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen – who have also qualified.
