Luke Littler is already making waves in the United States, with Pat McAfee excitedly discussing the teenager's whirlwind rise ahead of Wednesday's World Darts Championship final.

Littler, 16, has taken the darts world by storm by reaching the showpiece event in London, beating three world champions and now finds himself on the brink of history in the final against Luke Humphries.

McAfee made the unlikely move of discussing darts with JJ Watt, the NFL legend and co-owner of English Premier League team Burnley, during his show on ESPN.

“I heard about Luke Littler from someone who sent me a post. Tree!' McAfee said with a clip of Littler defeating Rob Cross to book his place in Wednesday's final.

'This was to send him to the final of the World Dart Championship at Alexandra Palace in London. This guy is 16 years old right there, he's just beating this Cross guy up!'.

Watt had to ask McAfee which player was 16 before the host continued, after footage from the end of the semi-final: 'He's 16! That guy is 16!

“And every time you win in front of that stupid crowd, which I'm sure we'll be a part of at some point in our lives, you tell Cross good game and Cross wants to suck his ear a little bit.

'He says “this 16 year old is really good, look at this guy” and Littler says “show me my family” and he stops him again! Let Littler live, Cross! Let Littler live, Cross!

“I understand that sportsmanship has to be real, but I think Cross just lost to a 16-year-old in front of everyone and he said, 'I just want to let the world know that I have enormous respect for him. in case you didn't see me sucking his ear the first time.”

“I think Cross does that. We appreciate your humility, Cross, but we know Luke Littler is a dog. He's only 16!

'He was asked if he couldn't celebrate with a beer. He gets more vapes, a bottle of Fanta and (with a British accent) kebab. But Luke Littler is a weapon.”

McAfee shared the clip of him discussing Little on his Twitter and captioned the clip, “Luke Littler is an ABSOLUTE DAWG.”

Littler will play against Humphries in the final in London on Wednesday. If he wins, he will be the youngest ever winner of the tournament and will take home around $630,000 (£500,000) in prize money.
