Dozens of others called Bryan’s eldest, whom he shares with wife Caroline Boyer, his father’s “twins” and “mini.”

Bryan and his longtime wife, whom he married in 2006, also share their 12-year-old son, Tatum Christopher, as well as his adult cousins, Jordan, Kris and Til, following the death of their father, Ben Lee Cheshire, who married was with Bryan’s late sister Kelly.

Speak with People in July 2021, Luke credited his wife for keeping him grounded amid the ups and downs of show business.

She “has always been the one who really doesn’t drink all my Kool-Aid,” he told the outlet. “When I get polished, she sort of pulls the reins back. She keeps it real.’

He added, “We’re just having a ball in life and having a ball with our kids.”

Caroline told the outlet that her husband has “a God-given talent for entertaining” because “it’s so natural to him.”

She continued, “He’s the guy who walks into a room and everyone wants to hang out with him. We’re at an event and I’m ready to go home and go to bed. Meanwhile, Luke will have found his way into a DJ booth and taken over. He’s always there to make people laugh and have fun.’

The five-time winner of the Entertainer of the Year award is enjoying a strong career as he has been a judge on American Idol since 2018 and extended his residency in Las Vegas until 2023.

In 2021, he stated that he “really will never get over the grief of losing his two siblings and a brother-in-law.”

“You really never get over it. You really never realize it happened. I mean, it’s always there,” the American Idol judge told People.

The grief he has experienced has also served as a reminder to the Georgia resident that “we have not been promised another day.”

Luke was just 19 and was planning his move to Nashville to pursue a career in country music when he lost his older brother Chris to a car accident.

As a result, he waited a few years to move to Nashville and instead stayed at the family’s peanut farm to offer them his support.

His mother LeClaire told ABC News years ago during a 20/20 profile of her son, “We knew Luke would come to Nashville one day. But… you can’t leave your family behind, and… I couldn’t bear the thought of him being gone.”

Years after Luke became a star, his family endured the loss of his sister Kelly, who suddenly and mysteriously died of natural causes in 2007.

Then, seven years later, Kelly’s husband Ben also died, prompting the couple’s 13-year-old son to move in with Luke and his wife.

Luke was also able to fly Til’s two older sisters over regularly to visit their brother, while all three tried to cope with being an orphan.

“It’s on the phone every day talking to the family and figuring out what to do, but it’s what you have to do. Difficult things,’ said Luke ABC.

“You know, we’re just staying positive. I think people expect that of me. I have to pray that maybe people who have been through similar situations can look at my family and see that I am dealing with it positively. I’m not saying it’s easy.’

In his interview, he also made sure “thank goodness I’ve always been a pretty jolly person” and shared that positivity was a conscious decision in the midst of his losses.

“Maybe Chris, Kelly and Lee moved some puzzle pieces to make my life so happy. When I say my prayers at night, I have to say, ‘Thank you for taking care of us down here,'” he told the magazine.
