Luis Suarez produced what many consider to be the greatest individual Premier League game of all time on this day ten years ago when he scored four against Norwich.

Not only did the Liverpool forward score four, three of them were legitimate goals from seasonal contenders.

But was it THE greatest individual performance the league has ever seen? Check out Mail Sport's top 10 list below.

Luis Suarez scored four goals for Liverpool against Norwich on this day ten years ago

10. Mo Salah vs Watford (2018) – 4 goals

Anfield were treated to a spectacular evening as their star man found the net four times in a 5-1 win to secure his first Liverpool hat-trick.

The goals put the Egyptian clear in the race for the Golden Boot and he never looked back, finishing at the top of the charts with 32.

9. Kevin De Bruyne vs Wolves (2022) – 4 goals

City's midfield maestro completed his hat-trick in just 24 minutes before adding a fourth in the second half as his side defeated Wolves 5-1 to move within four points of the Premier League title.

8. Jermain Defoe vs Wigan (2009) – 5 goals

Jermaine Defoe became the first Premier League player to score five goals in one half as Tottenham beat Wigan 9–1.

Defoe's seven-minute hat-trick was the third fastest in the competition's history, while the margin of victory was just one behind the current record. Remarkably, it was only 1-0 at halftime.

7. Thierry Henry vs Leeds (2004) – 4 goals

The great Arsenal man helped his team on their way to an unprecedented unbeaten season with a virtuoso performance in a 5-0 scalp.

The exciting Frenchman produced three trademark one-on-one finishes, while there was also a sumptuous Panenka penalty for the Highbury crowd to enjoy.

6. Alan Shearer vs Sheffield Wednesday (1999) – 5 goals

Shearer scored five times in Newcastle United's 8-0 win over bottom Sheffield Wednesday at St James' Park, making it a dream start to Sir Bobby Robson's reign.

5. Jurgen Klinsmann vs Wimbledon (1998) – 4 goals, 2 assists

The German helped save Spurs from relegation with six goals in a 6-2 win over Wimbledon on the penultimate day of the season.

The match was also the penultimate of his high-level club career.

4. Andrey Arshavin vs Liverpool (2009) – 4 goals

One of the most memorable games in Premier League history and the Gunners had one man to thank who came away with a point.

The Russian scored a fine hat-trick in an end-to-end affair before finishing a devastating counter to put his team 4-3 ahead late on with his fourth. They didn't stick it, but his four-finger celebration and Martin Tyler's commentary will live long in the memory.

3. Sergio Aguero vs Newcastle (2015) – 5 goals

The Argentine hitman confirmed his status as one of the best strikers in the world with a truly ridiculous 20-minute five-way strike.

Incredibly, he managed to score 6-1 in almost 600 minutes of football without a goal.

2. Dimitar Berbatov vs Blackburn (2011) – 5 goals

The nonchalant Bulgarian lit up Old Trafford with five goals as Manchester United defeated Blackburn 7-1 in the Premier League.

A stunning counter, which he started and finished, was the highlight of the bunch.

1. Luis Suarez vs Norwich (2013) – 4 goals

Indeed, the Uruguayan's Norwich masterclass tops our list.

There may have been players who have scored more in a match, but the quality of his goals makes him number 1.

Many would argue that the 2013/14 version of Suarez was the best highlight the league has ever seen. It's just a shame that Liverpool couldn't quite get over the line.
