Luis Rubiales’ mother vows to continue hunger strike ‘until I drop’ – despite her son begging her to stop her protest amid the ‘Kissgate’ scandal

Luis Rubiales’ mother, Angeles Bejar, has revealed that he begged her to end her hunger strike because of what she called the “inhumane” treatment of him – but she refused, promising to continue “until she dropped.”

Speaking from the church in Motril, southern Spain, where she started her surprise protest yesterday morning, she said, referring to player Jenni Hermoso: “I just want the truth to be told.

“She knows my son is very honest. If she tells the truth, everything will be all right.’

Speaking of the World Cup kiss that led to the so-called ‘Kissgate’ scandal, she added: ‘It was an anecdote, as she said herself, and look how far it has gone. She must have a conscience and act accordingly.

“My son is very worried and has asked me not to continue, to stop, but I will stay here until I drop and my body can continue.”

Rubiales has been suspended for an initial 90 days by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee for his behavior after the final of the Women’s World Cup in which he kissed Hermoso on the lips.

Angeles came forward and spoke to Spanish media saying she was “fit and healthy” and planned to continue her hunger strike

Just before 7:45 p.m. local time, a woman arrived with keys to the church and MailOnline was allowed inside.

However, there was no trace of Angeles with a woman who was at the church saying she was “elsewhere in the building to avoid the media.”

Later, Angeles came forward and spoke to Spanish media, saying she was “fit and healthy” and planned to continue her hunger strike – despite her son urging her to call it quits.

She said, “My goal is to let people know the truth about my son. He’s an honorable man.

‘He’s not here. He’s gone but he told me to stop but I said I won’t. I will continue.

‘I am OK. I drink water and isotonic drinks and I take my medicines. The doctor came to see me and he says I’m fine.’

Angeles announced on Monday that she was going on a hunger strike over what she called her son’s “inhumane” treatment, according to reports in Spain.

In addition to kissing one of Spain’s best players, the president of the football federation also drew criticism after grabbing his crotch in the stadium’s VIP area as he celebrated the team’s victory over England.

He stood just a few meters away from the Spanish Queen Letizia and her teenage daughter at the time.

The Spanish Football Federation has turned around and asked the president to resign with immediate effect

Hermoso has accused the RFEF of having a “manipulative, hostile and controlling culture” and her teammates stood by her.

FIFA has suspended Rubiales for an initial period of 90 days. He and the Spanish football federation RFEF have also been ordered not to contact Hermoso directly or through intermediaries.

Hermoso has accused the RFEF of having a “manipulative, hostile and controlling culture,” saying Rubiales’ kiss was “an impulse-driven, sexist, misguided act without any consent on my part.”

The RFEF claims that Rubiales’ arms in this photo are only loosely on Hermoso’s back, meaning he “couldn’t apply force,” and his heels are up.

The image above shows Rubiales smiling as he hugs Hermoso, with one hand on her head and the other on her back.

By way of explanation, the RFEF states: ‘Ms. Jennifer Hermoso grabs the RFEF President from behind with her arms, while Mr. President has his arms loose on the player’s upper back. Therefore no force could be applied.

“You can see how Mr. President has the heels of his feet up a little.”

Here the RFEF states that Hermoso has her arms around the president and his heels are up. Only one of Hermoso’s arms and one of Rubiales’ feet are visible

In the second image, Rubiales’ upper arm has moved lower past Hermoso’s head.

The RFEF explains: “Ma’am. Jennifer Hermoso has her arms around Mr. President’s back. Mr. President holds his arms on top of the player’s body.

“It has been verified that Mr. President already has much higher heels.”

Only one of Rubiales’ feet is visible in the photo.

The RFEF writes that ‘Mr. The President’s feet are clearly and distinctly lifted off the ground as a result of the power action performed by the player.

This third image, with Rubiales lifted off the ground, is where the RFEF’s statement becomes more vehement, attributing responsibility to Hermoso.

The RFEF states: ‘Mrs. Jennifer Hermoso continues to keep her arms in the same position as the President’s body, while the President has to move his arms closer to the player’s back as a result of lifting him off the ground and to maintain balance.

“The inclination of Ms. Jennifer Hermoso’s back that occurs when she performs a violent act is beyond question.

‘Mr. The President’s feet are clearly and distinctly lifted off the ground as a result of the power action performed by the player.”

The RFEF maintains its position in the last photo, where Rubiales is still being lifted off the ground

For this last photo, the RFEF explains, “Mrs. Jennifer Hermoso keeps her arms in the same position as the president’s body, while the president has to keep holding the players to keep from falling and it’s clear that the curvature of the player’s body matches Mr. Chairman, you step up.

“Mr. President’s feet apparently lift off the floor as a result of the player’s action.
