In November 2019, Lucy revealed that she had divorced her wife Georgina after three years of marriage.

The star took to Instagram to confirm that the couple had split and vowed to remain “ultimate friends and dog moms” with her ex.

The news came six months after Lucy revealed she’d raised 12 children while undergoing fertility treatment, announcing that she’d gone from being a newlywed to a full-fledged caregiver for young people in her hometown of Stockport.

In her statement, Lucy said: “It is with sadness to let you know that Georgina and I, after almost 6 years of joy, pleasure and true love, have decided to part ways.

“We have shared the most wonderful times and life together, and we are truly grateful to know love to the fullest. We will continue on our paths as ultimate friends and dog mothers, united by the bond and memories we will always have…

“We are eternally grateful for the support you have given us; in this difficult time we value space and time to deal with the change.’

Lucy, who proposed to Georgina in 2015, told OK! magazine at the time: ‘[Georgina] I had no idea and she turned and I was on one knee – it was great, I think I knew she would say yes, but it was still scary.

“I have a boat – she didn’t know we were going on a boat, we went under the Albert Bridge and her friends and family, her mother was on the bridge with all her friends.”

She added about Georgina: “I find peace when I’m with her and she makes me feel safe and happy.”
