Lucy Spraggan says she has forgiven Simon Cowell for how she was treated after X Factor assault – and reveals he’s walking her down the aisle
Lucy Spraggan has revealed she has completely forgiven Simon Cowell for the way she was treated on X Factor following her horrific sexual assault.
The 32-year-old singer revealed last year that she left the show when she was raped by a doorman in the hotel room she was staying in after partying with Rylan Clark during the show’s production in 2012.
However, it was Simon who was the first to apologise, with Lucy previously admitting that his call out ‘just made things so much better for me’.
And talk to Fantastic magazine Speaking about her relationship with the former X Factor judge, Lucy admitted that she has completely forgiven him and that he will even walk her down the aisle at her wedding in June.
Lucy and her girlfriend Emilia Smith, 33, got engaged in March, just a month into their relationship, after deepening a 10-year friendship.

Lucy, who is estranged from her biological father, now has a great relationship with the 64-year-old since he reached out and apologized for the way she was treated on the ITV show in 2012.
Revealing how she asked Simon the all-important question, she said: ‘We had been staying with Simon and Lauren for a few days. One morning Simon was about to go into the sea and I said, “Will you give me away?” and he replied, “Yes!” He went swimming and when he came back he said, ‘I would really like that. It would be an honour.’
Lucy, who is estranged from her biological father, now has a great relationship with the 64-year-old since he reached out and apologized for the way she was treated on the ITV show in 2012.
She added, “His apology healed a part of my being that I didn’t know needed healing.”
Lucy explained that she regularly visits Simon and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman’s Los Angeles home, having recently attended a murder mystery party with the star, even describing them as “surrogate parents.”
Gushing about her love for the couple and their son Eric, she said, “We are all good friends. I care about them, they care about me, and Simon really cares about my life, my well-being and my music. Simon and Lauren feel like surrogate parents. They always look out for me.’
The singer also admitted she has built bridges with ITV after director Kevin Lygo invited her to a meeting to discuss the past and how things could change in the future.

Lucy was previously in a relationship with her ex-girlfriend Evangelina, but when the pair split last year, she grew closer to Emilia.
The couple then moved in together in February and Lucy asked to marry her in March.
Lucy was previously married to her wife Georgina Gordon, but the couple split in November 2019 after six years together and raising 12 children while undergoing fertility treatment.
Still, Lucy has no doubts this relationship will be different and has already sent out the invites for her big day in June, with Rylan Clark receiving an invite.
The star previously spoke about her incredible friendship with the presenter who was there on the night of her assault.
She told how Rylan was ‘incredible’ as she recalled how his actions helped her get a conviction.
The musician said: ‘Rylan was incredible, he was the first person I told, he was going to call the police.
Rylan was an absolutely pivotal point in the existence of a conviction. He guarded the room and made sure no one went in so they didn’t contaminate the evidence.
‘When Rylan came back he came to check on me and pushed the door shut, and by closing the door the man who came into my room had to let himself back in with a traceable key card.’
