Lucy Boynton has opened up about how acting helped her change from a shy kid to a confident adult.

The 28-year-old Bohemian Rhapsody star made the revelation in a stunning Harper’s Bazaar United Kingdom shoot where she graced the cover in a beautiful white lace dress.

She admitted that as a child she was in the “shadow of her older sister” and was always “very shy and awkward.”

She told the publication: ‘You wouldn’t think I’m the actress in the family. As a child, I remember her being very shy and awkward, and she was in the shadow of my older sister.’

“But I think acting gave me access to change myself in a way… It unlocked the idea that I could be different.”

Lucy looked sensational in the ruffled dress that featured mint green trim and a chiffon overlay.

She completed the dazzling look with towering green heels and sparkling diamond accessories.

Speaking about her glamorous red carpet appearances, she said: “The publicity side of things still feels a step away from who I really am, but I’ve found a way to take the pressure off of those moments by thinking of them as wardrobe fittings. “.

Lucy appeared on the cover of the magazine alongside British actresses Shalom Brune-Franklin and Sheila Atim.

Showing off her new auburn hair, she combed it back and rocked a stunning palette of makeup.

Speaking about the UK film industry, he said: “It helps that I started my career in the UK where, at the time, the highest form of acting was to be in a BBC period piece.” In the United States, the whole concept of Hollywood makes success seem unattainable.’

She also talked about the importance of making time for herself outside of her busy work schedule.
