Lucy Beaumont named GBBO ‘worst contestant’ when disgusted Paul Hollywood SPITS on ‘inedible’ cake during celebrity special, before David Morrissey is crowned Star Baker

Lucy Beaumont was named the ‘worst contestant ever’ on The Great British Bake Off while competing on Sunday’s celebrity special with Stand Up 2 Cancer.

The 39-year-old comedian failed to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith when she presented them with her dire Showstopper cake, which the Cheshire native said was almost “inedible”.

He certainly made life easier for his co-stars Tom Daley, Adele Roberts, and David Morrissey, who were later crowned Star Baker.

Paul, disgusted, even spat out Lucy’s creation.

He said in his comments: ‘I wouldn’t say it’s inedible, but it’s on its way. I have never had a cake like this. It’s strange.

Taking the criticism on the chin, Lucy quipped afterwards: “I’ve had a good day.” I would like to win the apron, but I’m not kidding, I have aprons at home.

Out of earshot, Paul told Prue Leith, as well as hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas: It certainly is one of the worst cakes we have ever seen in the shop!

After a decision was made, Noel couldn’t resist giving Lucy a hint when announcing the winner.

He said in his announcement to the tent: “The winner of Star Baker is Lucy… No, of course she’s not,” before adding, “If it were up to me, you’d be the winner.”

But viewers really went wild with Tom Daley’s very cheeky appearance on the show.

The 28-year-old Olympic diver had fans in hysterics when he made some X-rated jokes about the “perimeter” of a large rolling pin while whipping up a quiche with questionable garnish.

The knitting enthusiast even revealed his plans to produce a hair warmer for Judge Paul during a chilling conversation with host Matt.

Observing his innuendo, Twitter users took to the platform to share his humor.

Another added: “Tom Daley has already done so many double entendres and raised eyebrows on camera in #GBBO that he might as well launch The Great British Knit-Off to Love Productions now and be done with it.”

A third wrote: ‘Never mind, Tom Daley knows exactly what he’s doing talking about girth. He wants these thirsty gays #GBBO.’

Someone else said: ‘I’m not going to lie, @TomDaley1994 talking about a big roller got me more excited than I should have! #GBBO.’

One more concluded, ‘Laughing at Tom’s presentation of his #GBBO quiche.’
