A lucky Australian woman found a huge bargain at her local Coles store, packing Christmas turkeys and roasts for $2 apiece.

The anonymous shopper shared her loot on the popular Facebook group Markdown Addicts Australia and revealed she found the deal at Coles on Melbourne’s Spencer Street.

She was delighted with her catch and was happy to let others know about the discounts.

“Hope your freezer is ready,” she wrote.

There were three different Christmas roasts, reduced to $2 in the image she shared.

Steggles frozen roast turkey breast was reduced from $16, and Steggles frozen whole bird turkeys were reduced from $34.

Ingham’s ultimate three-bird roast was also on sale, at a discount of $27, discounted from $29.

A member of the Facebook group said the turkey is both good quality and good value.

‘The boxed turkey breast is really tasty. We often have it with sautéed vegetables and cranberry sauce,” she says.

Facebook users were sent into a frenzy when they saw the post.

“I would buy it all and I wouldn’t even regret it,” said one woman.

“Brb is booking flights to Melbourne with extra baggage allowance,” commented another.

Other users were jealous to see the mega savings.

‘We never get such a discount. Man, I’d be so happy to see that,” said one woman.

One member said the extreme discounts may have been caused by a blunder: “It looks like someone got carried away with the stock they sent in early for Christmas and had it cleared out right away.”
