Luann de Lesseps confirms she’s sober again and that she’s ‘lost weight’ as an added perk

Luann de Lesseps came clean about her drinking and confessed that she now leads the sober life, which ultimately had a few added benefits.
During an interview on Jeff Lewis Live from SiriusXM on Thursday, the star of The Real Housewives Of New York City spoke about some of the embarrassment that led to her decision to quit drinking.
She also revealed that she is now “happier” and “healthier” and has lost weight by cutting alcohol from her diet.

de Lesseps, 57, first got sober after assaulting a police officer in 2017, and a few months later revealed she’d lost eight pounds after going clean.
But last March, she would have a relapse that led to one of her deplorable scenarios where she was thrown out of a gay piano bar for her drunken antics, according to Page six.
The reality star would apologize for the incident, which she said confirmed that her “struggle with alcohol is real.”

During the sit-down with Lewis, De Lesseps claimed she’s sober again, while also laying out some of those added benefits, including another weight loss.
“You spend a lot less on Ubers, you don’t have to apologize the next day for something you did, you don’t end up on page six, like me, because, you know, you screwed up somewhere,” she said. said.
“You know that alcohol has gotten me into a lot of trouble, and I’ve just come to a point in my life where I can enjoy myself without drinking.”
The Connecticut native shared a few extras that credit her latest stint with sobriety.
“It’s just become a lifestyle for me that’s so much better. I’m happier. I’m healthier and I’ve lost weight,” admitted the mother of two, prompting Lewis to compliment her healthier appearance. “You look great and you look great.”

She continued: “I’ve lost weight and I don’t have to think or count my drinks anymore. It used to be that “if I’ve had two drinks, I can’t have a third. And then I have to drive and figure out how to get home, and before I knew it, I was dancing in a nightclub at five in the morning.”
The Connecticut resident and socialite went on to reveal that she is a “happy drunk,” while some others, who “don’t name names,” can get “very angry” when they drink.
It is at this point that she mentioned that her biggest problem with alcohol is that she doesn’t “know when to turn it off.” The party just goes on.’
“My faux pas has been forgiven me a few times, let’s put it this way,” she concluded. “And I just feel like I don’t want to ask for forgiveness anymore. I don’t want to be in that position anymore. I don’t want to feel that shame and guilt the next day. It’s just not worth it.’
