An LSU superfan took his costume for their game against South Carolina on Thursday night very seriously and went for the full ‘Angel’ Reese look.

LSU’s home venue was nearly full an hour before tipoff for a special edition of College GameDay, which took place ahead of one of the biggest college basketball games of the year so far.

The fan had a costume complete with a halo, wings, a tiger mask and a robe in purple and yellow tiger stripes. The mantle has Reese’s name and her number 10 on it.

However, Reese didn’t get lucky because an angel was dedicated to her in the stands.

The top-ranked Gamecocks defeated the No. 9 Tigers 76-70 in a comeback victory, snapping LSU’s 29-game home winning streak.

Reese didn’t help the Tigers win against South Carolina, but he did finish the game with 15 points

Reese left the game with more than four minutes left and finished the game with 15 points.

The game was evenly matched across the board, with every starter from both teams scoring in double figures, but no one finished the game in the Southeastern Conference with more than 16 points.

LSU is the defending champion and South Carolina lost just one game last season, in the Final Four to Iowa. The Tigers defeated the Hawkeyes in the championship game.

With the win in Baton Rouge, the Gamecocks improved to 18-0 on the season, while LSU drops to 18-3.

The teams are not scheduled to play again in the regular season, but given the strength of both teams, they could meet in the SEC or NCAA tournaments.
