LSU football star Trey Holly has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured two people in Louisiana last week.

Holly, who plays running back for the Tigers, was taken into custody on three charges; attempted murder in the second degree, aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon.

According to Farmerville police, the incident happened last Friday around 10:30 p.m. in the city of Farmerville, Louisiana.

One woman is said to be left in critical condition after being shot three times, while a man was also shot once in the lower leg, reports The New Orleans Lawyer.

Holly, who was arrested along with two others in connection with the shooting, was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center after turning himself in Thursday.

Following his arrest, LSU said in a statement that he has been suspended from the team “indefinitely.”

“We are aware that a student-athlete has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Union Parish,” LSU said. “This student-athlete has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities, in accordance with department policy.

‘Out of respect for legal process, we do not wish to comment further.’

According to ESPN Pete ThamelHolly is being held on a $512,000 bond.

The Tigers’ No. 25 pick had an impressive rookie season at LSU, rushing 11 times for 110 yards and one touchdown last season.

In his debut in October, he was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week after rushing for 91 yards – most of which came on a 67-yard touchdown.

Holly also set a Louisiana record during his high school years, after recording 10,523 career receiving yards in five years.
