LSU football star Trey Holly ‘CHARGED with attempted MURDER’ after his arrest on three felony counts over Louisiana shooting which left two people injured

LSU football star Trey Holly has been charged with attempted second-degree murder in connection with a shooting that injured two people in Louisiana last week.

Holly, who plays running back for the Tigers, was taken into custody and faces two other charges: aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon.

The 19-year-old freshman turned himself in to the police on Thursday The lawyerfollowing the incident that took place last Friday around 10:30 PM in the town of Farmerville, Louisiana.

One woman was reportedly left in critical condition after being shot three times, while a man was also shot once in the lower leg, The Advocate reports.

Investigators determined that three gunmen fired multiple shots following an earlier altercation at the location.

Holly, who was arrested along with two others in connection with the shooting, was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center after turning himself in Thursday.

Sheriff Dusty Gates of the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office in Farmerville says the investigation is ongoing.

It is believed there is a possibility that another shooter was involved, with Gates adding that while they have yet to be identified, further arrests are expected.

Following Holly’s arrest, LSU said in a statement that he has been suspended from the team “indefinitely.”

“We are aware that a student-athlete has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Union Parish,” LSU said. “This student-athlete has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities, in accordance with department policy.

‘Out of respect for legal process, we do not wish to comment further.’

According to ESPN Pete Thamel Holly is being held on a $512,000 bond.
