Ahead of a new women’s college basketball season, defending national champion Angel Reese addressed a viral moment from last year’s title game.

It was in that game that Reese helped seal a win for LSU — all while expressing herself through trash talk and hand gestures.

It was especially directed at her national title opponent: Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, who was on the receiving end of Reese copying John Cena’s ‘You can’t see me,’ moved and pointed at her ring finger.

Reese said during LSU’s media day Thursday that she has no issues with Clark and that she admires her game.

“I love Caitlin,” Reese said. “We’ve been competing since we were in AAU. It was always fun, always competitive.

Angel Reese says she doesn’t have a problem with Caitlin Clark, despite their highly public meeting in the national championship — where Reese’s LSU beat Clark and Iowa.

Reese said that she has love for Clark and would even like to be with her one day

Clark and Iowa are ranked No. 6 in ESPN’s preseason poll, while LSU checks in at No. 1

“One day, hopefully, we can even be teammates. She is a great player, shooter, person and teammate.’

Reese and the Lady Tigers are ESPN’s No. 1 team in the country and can try to win back-to-back titles thanks to the additions of top transfers Hailey Van Lith and Aneesah Morrow.

Of course, Iowa will be in that mix, too — sitting at No. 6 in ESPN’s poll behind UConn at No. 2, then UCLA, Ohio State and Utah.

Reese admits that the head that wears the crown is heavy and that LSU could be seen as villains entering this season — at least to anyone who doesn’t live in Baton Rouge.

“The world is always going to have a good girl and a bad girl. I’ll accept that I’m going to be the bad guy because I know I’ve grown women’s basketball and inspired people,” she shared.

Added Reese: ‘LSU loves me, but they might not like (Clark). People can think what they think, Caitlin and I are cool. We have never had any problems.

“Just to know that I helped grow women’s basketball, and she did, that’s all that matters.”
