Loyalty to supermarkets pays off in the train | Short letters
I was impressed by your article on ways to travel cheaper by train (Buy a Railcard and Ditch Season Tickets: How to Beat the Rise in Train Fares, March 16). However, readers might be interested to know that most annual rail tickets can be purchased online using supermarket loyalty program vouchers. We haven’t paid a penny for rail tickets in over a decade, simply by exchanging Tesco Clubcard vouchers. By using the loyalty program we save £90 a year before we’ve even left the house.

“I don’t think we have 53 idiots in the party,” says a former minister in your report (Hester row and Anderson defection have left Sunak weaker than ever, March 17). I wholeheartedly agree. Judging by the standards and behavior of many ministers, I am sure this figure is much higher.
