Bezos has placed a wooden sculpture on the bow of the superyacht that bears a striking resemblance to Sanchez.
The sculpture has a chain with the symbol for Koru, Māori for loop or coil, and is designed around the spiral shape of an unfolding silver frond.
Koru symbolizes a new phase of life and new beginnings, positive change, personal growth and hope for the future. It is an important symbol of Māori traditions.
