Shaughna wrote: “So this happened… I’ll be honest even if I’m shocked. So glad I took pictures because honestly when I look in the mirror I don’t see any difference, your mind is your worst enemy sometimes!

“And while being accused of editing your photos when you actually haven’t is the biggest compliment EVER, I didn’t edit the photo on the right, so I thought I’d throw in the actual Live Photo for any doubters .

“I’ve been trying to get to a better place with my health, mentally and physically, for a while now, so I have to admit, I’m damn proud of myself today.

‘I’ve talked openly about struggling with my body image since I was a little girl (it breaks my heart to even say that), so to be told at a doctor’s appointment that I was seriously overweight wasn’t great.

“This didn’t happen overnight, and I still have a way to go. The truth is, there have been weeks where I found it so easy, and there have been months where I haven’t seen any change, so I’m really trying to find what works for me, and I think I’m almost there. .

“Today definitely feels like a victory. Even though I now only have one pair of jeans that fit me, my bank card considers this a loss.’

Shaughna revealed in the comments that it took her seven months to drop the pounds, as she responded to fans who were amazed by her transformation.

She wrote: ‘It’s taken me 7 months so far, I still have a bit to lose so I’m guessing probably a year before I’ve lost what I want x’

Shaughna revealed earlier this month that she was ‘shocked to her core’ after visiting her GP for a health check.

The TV star revealed that a year after giving birth to her daughter Lucia, she was told she is now obese.

Shaughna vowed to embark on a new health kick and said she is determined to lower her fat levels for the sake of her daughter.

In a candid post shared to Instagram, Shaughna revealed that during a full body MOT check she was told she had ‘quite a lot of visceral fat around her major organs’.

According to Health Direct, this could lead to a range of potentially serious health problems in the future, such as heart attacks, diabetes and some cancers.

Speaking to her 1.4 million followers, she said: ‘It’s been a year since I had a baby so I wanted to see where I was after the birth.

‘They told me I was obese, which isn’t a shock, but it’s never nice to hear. After a few checks they said I had quite a lot of visceral fat around my organs.

“Now, I’m no Gillian McKeith, I’m not going to tell you what that means because I don’t really know.

“It’s actually fat around your major organs, which is serious because it can cause heart attacks.”

The television star shares Lucia with her disgraced ex-boyfriend Billy Webb, who was sentenced to nine years in prison for conspiring to supply 4.5kg of cocaine worth at least £360,000 after being arrested in a drugs raid.

She continued, “I’m a mom now and it shocked me to my core because I know I’m not the picture of health but I didn’t realize things were so bad and it’s kind of scary to hear it from a mom to hear. medical professional.’

Shaughna vowed to improve her health as she is determined to be there for her daughter as she grows up, saying: ‘I’m going to do this. I need to do something. I need to lose so much weight. I only had one parent because my father died.

“Without going too deep, I just don’t want this to happen to Lucia and I want to do everything I can to stay here as long as possible.”

Shaughna opened up about the body dysmorphia she has struggled with all her life, adding: “I’m not going to be too hard on myself because I’m only human. I’m raising a person on my own, which is difficult. I am self-employed, which is difficult.

‘I’ve probably struggled with my body image for most of my life, which is quite scary – and I don’t want that for Lucia.

‘I have to be a positive example for her. I don’t want her to see that I have trouble putting on clothes or that I’m not happy with the way I look. I need to be the happiest and healthiest version of myself.

‘Do I know how to get there yet? No. But I feel like I now have the knowledge to move forward. I’m a work in progress, but I still love myself.’

Shaughna opened up about her crippling battle with body dysmorphia in a candid interview.

The influencer has reflected on her time on the show in 2020, saying she was “consumed by the way she looked.”

Shaughna revealed that after the birth she was ‘terrified to leave the house’ as she had gained six stone.

She told Closer magazine about her experience on Love Island: ‘I was a size 6-8 but I still thought I was the ‘fat girl’ in the villa.

‘It shows how much body dysmorphia I had. I was consumed with the way I looked, breathed and got the right angles.

‘When they gave me the outfit to wear for the Dirty Dancing challenge, I thought, “God must really hate me!” I felt like some girls knew I was insecure and would walk past me.

“I would think, ‘How do they have this confidence?’ I look back and feel sorry for myself.”
