Love Island’s Ron Hall admits feeling ‘unemployed’ as he discusses impostor syndrome of being thrust into the public eye

He managed to take second place at this year’s Winter Love Island after finding love with girlfriend Lana Jenkins on the show.

But Ron Hall admitted this week that living in the public eye isn’t something he’s a huge fan of as he’s been adjusting to his new career since leaving the series.

The former financial advisor, 25, admitted that he has given up his corporate profession and now feels “unemployed” since moving into content creation.

‘I almost feel unemployed. But working 24/7, your brain doesn’t shut down,” he explained in a new YouTube video.

The reality star revealed that the newfound fame is a “weird feeling” and talked about his plans for the future.

Ron answered fans’ questions in a new video, explaining that his “new job” is creating social media content and influencing it.

But it’s not one he’s so familiar with, as the star admitted he’s “never in a million years; imagined creating a YouTube channel or working in the public eye.

He explained that he’s struggling a bit with the job change and reached out to fans for help in terms of what they want to see.

And describing it as feeling “unemployed” but constantly working at the same time, Ron shared, “Your brain just doesn’t turn off.”

“Anyone who has tried to film a TikTok or something like that, for me this is now my new job or life, your brain has to constantly come up with ideas. My brain doesn’t work that way, I’m not that creative.’

But wanting to get involved, Ron added that he would like to make videos and content with girlfriend Lana.

“I want to try to push the boat out as far as possible, crazy content. So give me your ideas,” he shared.

He added, “Honestly, I just don’t know what I’m doing. I meet people who really help me at the moment’.

Ron and Lana took second place after boyfriend Kai Fagan and his girlfriend Sanam Harrinanan took the crown.

And since leaving the villa, the islanders have been in the spotlight – attending VIP events, A-list premieres and parties.

The Love Island finalist, who lives in Essex, spoke exclusively to MailOnline this week and discussed his future plans with Lana from Manchester, having previously made it clear that he will not be moving north.

He admitted despite “being apart for only six days” since leaving the South African villa, he plans to “buy his own house” before they commit to moving in together.

Ron confessed, “I’m having a hard time being separated from her. We’ve only spent six days parting since we came out.

“Our ultimate goal is to start living together, but at the moment we want to be able to buy our own houses and then eventually start living together.”
