Love Island’s Mike Boateng reveals he had to wait ‘two endless hours’ for an ambulance while in ‘excruciating pain’ due to health issues
Love Island star Mike Boateng has revealed he had to wait two hours for an ambulance after dislocating his arm.
The TV personality, 28, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share with his followers that he was worried about his health.
He said the wait felt ‘endless’ after he injured himself and it was a strong reminder to him of the strain the NHS is under.
Mike, who starred in series six of the show, wrote: ‘Going through a tough ordeal today, a reminder of the strain on our NHS.
“After dislocating my arm, I was in excruciating pain for two seemingly endless hours while waiting for an ambulance.

“I can’t help but think of those dealing with even more critical conditions caught up in these long waiting times — a crisis brought on by the government’s unwillingness to reward healthcare heroes what they truly deserve.”
Mike went on to praise the paramedics who treated him while he was in so much pain.
He added, “I am extremely grateful to Cathy and Jourdan, the wonderful paramedics who came to my rescue.
“Every delay, every life at stake, brings us back to the question: When will the government realize the priceless services of individuals like Cathy and Jourdan?”
Mike divorced Priscilla Anyabu, who he met on the show in 2020, after dating for 15 months.
The couple met on Love Island’s winter series in 2020, losing out on winning the show to Paige Turley and Finn Tapp who took home the £50,000 prize.
But interrupted by the spread of Covid-19, they were plunged into life upon leaving the villa and spent time in Paige’s homeland of West Lothian.
Paige and Finn split last month after three years of dating.
