The summer version of the dating show returns on June 5 according to the Sunand in preparation for the arrival of more participants, workers are giving the villa a facelift.

Updated features in the massive space include a remodeled fire pit and new decks, as well as a different kitchen.

It’s likely that the new fire pit will add extra drama to the series to come as the singletons enjoy partying and enduring reconnections.

A source said of the new series: “This series will run for eight weeks, which means that the couple who wins the show will be in the villa for two months.”

It comes after Love Island’s Maxwell Samuda finally spoke out about the real reason he broke up with girlfriend Olivia Hawkins.

The pair linked up during this winter’s series, but left the season just days before the finale.

They decided to go their separate ways just a few weeks after arriving in the UK, with some program fans accusing them of having a show.

However, 24-year-old Maxwell insisted they had simply grown apart when they returned from South Africa, where the show was filmed, insisting that “other things” distracted his attention from their union.

He told the Murad Merali podcast“The main thing I would say with the whole situation, when you’re in the villa and even right behind the villa, but you’re still in South Africa together, it’s a very different environment.

“All you have to focus on during that period is each other and just being on vacation together and it’s pretty easy to have a great time when you’re on vacation.”

“But once you get home and there’s all this other stuff going on, take your attention and focus.”

Maxwell added that he wasn’t sure if he saw the pair together far into the future, explaining: “It really gives you a chance to look at it and think if this situation is really going to last or is it that we being connected and really went well, but out in the real world we’re just not so sure it will last as long.”

It comes after Maxwell and Olivia, 27, became the second couple of this year’s winter series to split just weeks after leaving the villa in March.

The ring girl and the finance student are said to have gone their separate ways after “naturally drifting apart”.

It came after Casey O’Gorman and Rosie Seabrook became the first couple from the 2023 winter series to break up.

Olivia and Maxwell reportedly had a talk about their relationship and decided to part ways, but remain on “good terms.”
