Malin Andersson has ‘so much’ stomach pain that she was taken to the emergency room on Monday.
The former Love Island star, 30, who has previously shared candid insight into her battle with irritable bowel syndrome, took to Instagram with a photo from the hospital waiting room.

In 2020, Malin discussed bloating and the long-term effects of using laxatives as a teen to thin herself out.

Alongside the photo, Malin wrote, “IBS. A physical condition that many people suffer from. IBS is a long-term condition of the digestive system that can be painful and difficult to live with if you don’t control your symptoms.
“The most common symptoms are abdominal pain, cramps, bloating and diarrhea. It can be very uncomfortable and make you anxious about your daily life.”
Malin said she developed the condition as a teen and now struggles with eating gluten and other foods that trigger flare-ups.
She said: ‘I developed IBS in my teens, after struggling with my self image, I abused laxatives to empty my body. I remember waking up every day with terrible cramps and having to go to the bathroom to “look and feel skinnier.”
IBS is a functional disorder of the gastrointestinal tract characterized by recurrent abdominal pain and discomfort accompanied by changes in bowel function.
It comes after Malin showed off her toned figure last week after six months of working out in the gym on her incredible weight loss journey.
She has focused on her health and “internal healing” over the past year, after welcoming her daughter Xaya in January 2022.
Malin shared an update on Instagram showing off her progress with a montage of video footage of her workouts.

She wore tight-fitting gym clothes as she reflected on how much she’d improved over the past six months.
In a lengthy caption, Malin explained, “So I hit the gym in January. And it’s been a pretty cool trip.”
She continued, “I went home privately when Xaya was 2 months old to embark on a health journey and I took myself out of my comfort zone to hit the gym when I felt ready.
I was scared and shy, running in and out after 30 minutes alone on the treadmill or something I knew. I had no idea what a machine was or what it did… and now… I LOVE IT!
‘It has become a hobby of mine, lifting weights and strength training. Like I said, it’s been great for my mental health, but I also love how STRONG I’m getting and how the weights are slowly and gradually increasing.

So I put together this video to show you that we all start somewhere in the gym or at home! My goal was to get stronger and that’s what happened – with consistency
‘I’ve slowly increased my weights and trained different body parts every day.. my form has improved significantly.
“Anyway – hopefully this will motivate someone like me to step out of their comfort zone and change their life through exercise.”
“I love how my muscles come through, that’s a little bonus, but more importantly I can shop it and lift Xaya at the same time.”
Everything in life is a process, enjoy the journey. Do it for you and to make YOU feel good.’
