Love Island’s Liam Reardon Suffers Severe Reaction After Accidentally Eating Raw Chicken

Liam Reardon suffered a severe reaction after eating a “completely raw” chicken burger while in Thailand on Thursday.

The 23-year-old Love Island winner showed off his swollen face after eating the dangerously undercooked food on his Instagram Stories, joking that it looked like a ‘melted welly’.

Liam had been enjoying a boys’ trip to the Southeast Asian country with fellow islanders Chuggs Wallis and Aaron Francis before the nightmare began.

On his social networks, Liam surprised his 996,000 followers with a selfie of his swollen face.

He wrote: ‘No, look at my status. I just wanted a burger, instead I look like a melted Welly. Look so buttery.

‘It looks like Bear Grylls when he got stung by that bee.’ [sic].

In the following story, Liam shared a photo of the raw chicken that was to blame for his outbreak.

He explained: “It’s our last days in Thailand and I ordered a fried chicken burger at the hotel, ate half of it and realized it was completely raw.”

‘It’s not even a little raw, it’s completely raw. The chef definitely had a bad day and wanted to ruin someone else’s haha.’

In another photo, Liam took a selfie in the mirror showing his swollen face covered in sweat.

Underneath, he wrote: “I’m confused if I got bloated from the raw chicken or from sticking my fingers down my throat making myself vomit and the pressure went to my head or something.”

‘Either way, I look horrible and feel trash. I have taken an anti-allergy pill and the swelling has gone down a bit… Any advice?’

Liam’s mishap comes after the trio have been sharing idyllic photos from their children’s trip.

Starting in Bangkok, the former inhabitants of Love Island made their way through Phuket, Phi Phi and Krabi.

Liam rose to fame in 2021 after winning Love Island alongside 26-year-old Millie Court.

The couple, who later dated, split in July last year and Liam subsequently signed up for Celebs Go Dating to heal his broken heart.

Meanwhile, Millie recently revealed that she started having therapy sessions after her split from Liam.

Taking to Instagram, the reality star explained to her followers that she had her first session just before Christmas and despite feeling “uncomfortable” talking to her counselor, she immediately felt “so much better” after just one session.

The reality star also said she is using therapy as her tool to “treat her body and mind the way she deserves” after splitting with Liam.

Millie, who has also been hitting the gym, told her Instagram followers: “Loving myself comes first.”

Later, he shared the process he had followed to start doing therapy sessions.

Previously, Liam insisted that he broke up with Millie, while hinting that the couple could “rekindle” in the future.

The Love Island star claimed he took time out of their relationship so he could ‘love himself’ first.

While appearing on Celebs Go Dating, she told relationship experts Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson that she needed to clear up her life.

Liam said: “In the villa, everything was stripped down, they just had each other, and I fell in love with Millie, and we went from strength to strength.”
