Love Island’s Laura Anderson reveals terrifying ordeal with daughter Bonnie, three months, when her temperature sky-rocketed

Laura Anderson almost had to call the emergency services on Thursday evening after her daughter's temperature reached 39 degrees.

The reality star, 34, has three-month-old Bonnie with ex-boyfriend and former Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy, 42, and revealed on social media that she had suddenly fallen ill.

The former Love Island contestant had herself been sick from a bug this week and realized the little one had probably contracted the same thing after uncharacteristically refusing to go to bed.

During a Q&A on Instagram, she said: “So Bonnie's got the mommy bug. Mom is bad. And last night we woke up.

“Well, she didn't want to go to bed. She never does that. So I thought, “What's happening?” Her temperature was 39, so I wanted to call 911.”

A normal temperature in babies and children is about 36.4 degrees Celsius, but this can vary slightly.

A high temperature or fever is usually considered a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius or higher

The former Celebs Go Dating star had tried to take Bonnie's temperature during the 'scary' ordeal so she could cool the little one down herself.

She said: 'It's just like scary, isn't it? But there are so many different places you can measure the temperature and they were all different numbers when I did it.

'Her mouth was 39, and then I did her armpit and it was 38.3, which is still in the red zone, then I did her forehead and her ear, which was 37 and then 36, so we just got her cooled down.

“She also got sick in the bath.”

The new mom has been open and honest with her followers since giving birth, noting in September how she struggled with breastfeeding.

She told fans: 'We have survived two weeks so far. The nipples currently stick for life.'

In addition to sharing the pain her nipples endured, Laura gave more insight into her journey as she responded to fans in the comments.

As one fan suggested her problem could be because Bonnie might have a “tongue tie,” Laura was stubborn enough to assure her toddler was okay, noting, “all good and controlled.”

Another wondered why she was in pain and suggested the TV star consult a lactation consultant, to which Laura replied: 'I had mastitis so still a bit tender.'

Meanwhile, an additional fan assured the new mum that her nipple problems would go away after four weeks, before Laura joked about how her nipples would have 'fallen off' by then.

She joked: 'Is that because my nipples would have fallen off? She's so strong, I swear, greedy guts. My breasts are twice bigger than her head.'
