Love Island’s Jessie Wynter blasts co-stars for dumping her and boyfriend Will Young before final

Love Island star Jessie Wynter has slammed her co-stars for dumping her and boyfriend Will Young before the finale.

The Australian reality star, 26, entered the villa like a bombshell and quickly hooked up with farmer Will, 23.

Dumped from the ITV2 show days before the final in South Africa, the couple have been inseparable since flying back to London.

Jessie has now claimed the decision was a ‘policeman’ as many of them wanted to make it to the finals.

She said The sun: ‘In the villa everyone was cheering for our relationship, so when they decided to say we weren’t right for each other, I think they knew we were very happy. I think it was also a bit of a cop because they could always use Jessie’s from Australia excuse.

Jessie continued, “Personally I think it’s the opposite because if you go abroad for someone, you’re probably going to spend more time with them rather than traveling three hours between London and Manchester or whatever.

“They knew we were right for each other. It’s sad that it turned out the way it did. I know how much the other islanders wanted to make it to the finals. I know it meant a lot to them.

‘Although I’ve been to Love Island Australia, I haven’t watched Love Island, I don’t watch much TV. The other people in the villa are Love Island fans, so it’s great for them to get to the final.’

She ended the chat by claiming that she and Will “won’t take offense,” because they think they’re real.

It comes after Jessie revealed she tried to leave the show, but producers told her she couldn’t.

Viewers watched their romance blossom at the Love Island villa for eight weeks, but it wasn’t all plain sailing for the pair, whose relationship was thrown into question after Will kissed Layla Al-Momani during the Casa Amor loyalty test.

Jessie confessed that she was “shattered” by Will’s actions, as he considered leaving the show if he didn’t win her back.

Speaking about the moment she found out about Will’s infidelity during Casa Amor, she told The Useless Helpline Podcast, “I was like, ‘That’s it, I’m done.’ I’m done with Will, I’m done with the villa.

“And then the production was like, ‘Um no, that’s not happening, you can’t do that, you can’t just leave.'”

As we’ve seen in previous seasons, producers have made sure that if for any reason an Islander feels like he wants to leave the Villa, he can.

Jessie, a personal trainer from Tasmania and currently living in Sydney, rose to fame in 2019 on the Australian series Love Island.

It comes after Will gushed about finding the love of his life on the ITV2 show and how he has great hopes for their future.

He said, “I wouldn’t be with her if I didn’t think she was marriage material. Our plan is to divide our time between the UK and Tasmania.”

Will and Jessie missed out on reaching the show’s finale by a day after failing to land the public vote after all couples were asked to choose which couple they felt was the least compatible.

But that doesn’t seem to have deterred future plans for the couple as Will is open to traveling to keep their relationship alive.

After leaving South Africa, the sheep farmer said, ‘I think it’s very fair to say I would go to Australia.

“A relationship is a two-way street. It would be unfair for me to rely 100% on Jessie moving here. Australia has always been a place I would like to travel to.’

But despite his willingness to fly halfway around the world, Will has made sure to show Jessie all the UK’s main attractions while she’s here, including Buckingham Palace and, of course, the local Tesco.

In an exclusive conversation with MailOnline, they opened up about their willingness to live and work together on Will’s farm in Buckinghamshire, just in time for lambing season.

Their decision comes after Will revealed veteran Countryfile presenter John Craven had “slipped into his DMs” to congratulate him on endorsing farming for a younger audience.

Will said, “Jessie is moving to the farm for the next two months and she’ll be doing lambing and stuff, which I’m super, super excited about.

“When she first came to visit this week, I gave her some boots and she got lost in feeding the animals, which made me fall even more in love with her.”

Will and Jessie spent a night apart when they landed on British soil, but the lovelorn couple, who met eight weeks ago on the dating series, say they found being apart “terrible”.

Indeed, the playful pair admit they’ve barely left the bedroom now that the cameras are off.

Jessie said, “It’s 100 times better now that we’re out of the villa. It’s a million times better, I’ll tell you.’

Love Island viewers on Monday crowned schoolteacher Kai Fagan and social worker Sanam Harrinanan the winners after earning 44 percent of the public vote, beating out Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins.

Will and Jessie believe the right couple won the £50,000 cash prize and say they have been focused on their relationship from the moment they met.

Jessie said, “They grew up and stayed out of the drama.” I am so happy for them.

“They were there to focus on themselves and they did. Maybe we weren’t that close with them, I didn’t really get to know Kai, but it’s good to see such a pure couple, a teacher and social worker, win Love Island.’
