Love Island’s Casey O’Gorman CONFIRMS major fan theory

Love Island’s Casey O’Gorman has confirmed a major fan theory after all viewers noticed the same thing during the winter series in South Africa.

The 26-year-old recruiting consultant did a Q&A on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, where a follower asked him if it was as cold at night as it was when they filmed.

He replied: ‘Yes, there were some nights that were quite cold! Especially on nights when there was a dumping or a reunion.

We knew we were going to be sitting around that campfire for a long time. We had to make sure we were warm.

“But we didn’t know when there would be a reconnect or download, so the guys in the dorm would say ‘Do you think there’s going to be a reconnect or download tonight?’ and if so we would wear a jacket!

‘So yeah, we were trying to guess when it was, but yeah, it was really cold!’

Early in the series, many viewers noted that the weather was less than ideal, as they became aware of strong winds around the village that could be heard during the contestants’ outdoor chats.

The bushes and trees had also been swaying back and forth as the contestants relaxed in the garden.

One viewer wrote: “Why can I hear the wind through the screen?” while another added: “They must be cold because that wind is not playing.”

A third fan wrote: ‘Is this Love Island or Wind Island?’ while a fourth joked: “They’re going to have to start tying up furniture in the wind at this rate.”

Former Big Brother star Luke Marsden added jokingly: “It’s great that ITGV has increased the wind power budget this year.”

Love Island viewers also complained that Monday’s final was “ruined” by “relentless” winds in South Africa.

‘Maya almost fell over!’ Love Island viewers also complained that Monday’s final was “ruined” by “relentless” winds in South Africa.

Host Maya Jama, 28, apologized when the show was thrown into chaos, with cameras blown away by strong gusts during the live broadcast.

Fans claimed that the technical error made the episode “too stressful” to watch as the producers protested that they had not done enough to soundproof the footage.

One wrote: ‘They need to fix the wind! You are ruining the moment! #island of love.’

Another added: “The South African winds are doing everything they can to try to purge this cursed show from their shores #LoveIsland.”

More chimed in with: ‘These many are fighting for their lives against the wind #loveisland’ and ‘The wind is crazy! They must be freezing #loveisland.’

Others wrote: “Those fluffy mic covers working overtime in that #loveisland wind” and “The wind in South Africa is STRONG, Maya almost got blown off.”

Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan were crowned winners of Love Island Winter 2023 on Monday night, beating out Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins for the £50k prize money.

It comes after Love Island host Maya was left in shock during Sunday’s episode of Aftersun after a fight broke out between Will Young and his friend Casey.

Farmer Will, 23, and Casey were close friends on the show along with Tom Clare, quickly becoming known as the ‘three musketeers’.

However, the friends came into conflict on the chat show Aftersun, where the two appeared live after Will and his girlfriend Jessie Wynter were kicked out of the villa.

While conversing with Maya, the The couple were shown a clip from the ITV2 dating show when Casey told Maxwell Samuda that she thought Jessie, 26, was acting.

When Will originally confronted Casey about the conversation in the villa, Casey insisted that she thought Jessie was “genuine” and blamed the 23-year-old Maxwell for the conversation.

However, Will was left shocked after being shown the original video of Casey’s comments, turning around and calling Casey a ‘snake’ while Maya, 28, looked shocked.

In the villa clip, Casey was heard telling Maxwell, “The more I see of Jessie, the more I think she’s playing.”

“Honestly, it was one of the strangest interactions, the way she was talking to me, it seemed like such an act,” he added in another conversation.

The footage then showed Will confronting Casey about the chat, where Casey had insisted that Maxwell wanted to talk to him, not the other way around.

When Will explained that Maxwell had told him that both he and Casey thought Jessie wasn’t genuine, he reassured his friend, saying, “No, it’s nothing to do with me and that’s what I said.” He doesn’t feel like she’s being genuine.

Will then asked his friend, “Do you think she’s being genuine?” to which Casey replied, “Yeah, I think she is.”

After the clips aired in the studio, where Casey watched from the audience, strained gasps could be heard as Casey looked uncomfortable.

When Maya said, ‘Sorry I spilled the tea like that,’ a stunned Will pointed at Casey and yelled ‘snake’ while the hostess Maya looked very surprised.

Casey was heard yelling that they had “talked about it” before Maya asked Will how he felt after seeing the footage.

Although he was smiling, Will said, ‘You know what a little surprise is? I went up to Casey and said “what are your thoughts, tell me?”

“I said so many times, look, be honest with me, be open with me, that’s all you want here.”

He concluded by shouting: ‘The boy lied!’

Casey then insisted that she had already told Will about his comments, saying: Will and I, immediately after my conversation with Jessie, said that I felt like it was a complete act. It is not like this?

But Will responded with: Roll up the ribbons. Just roll up the ribbons.

Without flinching, Casey said, ‘You know I did it! You know I told you that, that I felt like I was acting!

Maya then tried to defuse the situation when she said they could talk about it later, before Jessie shared her thoughts on the footage.

She said: ‘Honestly, if people want to sit there and judge me, you can do that, that’s your problem. Will and I are fine.

As Jessie spoke, Will cheekily snapped his fingers in his friend’s direction, but Casey didn’t seem impressed and could be seen uttering “wow.”
