Love Island viewers rejoice that the ‘most boring’ series is over with hilarious memes

‘Putting one last turn!’ Viewers of Love Island rejoice that the ‘most boring’ series is over as social media erupts with hilarious memes and fans pray they never hear an irritating line again.

After eight weeks of brutal reconciliations, disputes and dumping, the winter season came to a close on Monday night.

And, Love Island viewers rejoiced that the “most boring” series was over as social media erupted with hilarious memes and fans begged to NEVER hear “we’re done” again.

Maya Jama hit the screens live from the villa in Cape Town for the finale, with the islanders also live for the first time since they entered reality TV.

But the viewers were very ready to arrive at the results, and they were angry seeing the last four couples writing love letters to each other.

On Twitter, many fans noted that they felt like they were making their last “change” to watch the reality show through to the end.

Finally! Viewers of Love Island rejoiced that the ‘most boring’ series was over as social media erupted with hilarious memes and fans begged to NEVER hear ‘we’re done’ again.

Boring: Viewers were too ready to come up with the results and were upset watching the last four couples writing love letters to each other.

‘Arrived for my last twitter shift at loveisland #loveisland,’ one person tweeted, with another writing: ‘Arrived for my last loveisland shift #loveisland #LoveIsland.’

“Caught my last shift of the season at love island it’s been shit but oh well #LoveIsland,” another criticized, while another admitted: “Caught my shift at the love island factory to finish this awful season.”

“Me running to watch the Love Island finale knowing we’re saying goodbye to the most boring season ever,” someone else shared with a clip of Kris Jenner running out the door.

‘Can we fast forward to who the winners are and end this BORING #LoveIsland season?’ another fan pleaded.

Some drew attention to the girls’ tradition of yelling ‘we’re ready’ in prolonged yells, which after eight weeks proved irritating.

“How long do I have to keep listening to this ‘we’re ready’ like we’re in the finals and they’re still putting me through that #loveisland?” wailed one viewer.

“Stop trying to make ‘we’re ready’ happen, it’s not going to happen #loveisland,” another insisted, while someone tweeted: “me because after today I won’t have to listen to ‘…we’re ready’ every night #loveisland,” with a video of someone looking emotional.

Final Turn: On Twitter, many fans noted that they felt like they were doing their final “turn” to watch the reality show through to the end.

The grand finale took place on Monday 13 March and was broadcast live from South Africa on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm Extended from the show’s usual hour-long run, the episode finished at 10:35pm

From the turmoil of Casa Amor wreaking havoc on relationships to Aussie Love Island legends Jessie Wynter and Aaron Waters returning to the show, there was plenty of action to get caught up in.

But after another couple of islanders said goodbye this week, the end finally came for the final eight islanders.

The remaining couples are: Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, Tom Clare and Samie Elishi, Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, and Shaq and Tanya.

Never again: Some turned their attention to the girls’ tradition of yelling in prolonged yells: ‘We’re ready’, which after eight weeks has proven irritating.

Joined by the finalists and Maya, an audience gathered to watch the winning moment in real life, as they recap the past few days in pre-recorded segments.

Based on the public vote, one lucky couple was crowned the winner of Winter Love Island during Monday’s live finale and received £50,000 to share.

In addition to money, islanders are often bombarded with press opportunities, brand partnerships and TV deals as they leave the village.

Which means that even those who didn’t win the show could be headed for a more-than-satisfying payday out of the village.
