Love Island viewers poke fun Ron and Lana’s date location

The long-awaited final dates were shown on Thursday’s episode of Love Island as the winter series comes to a close.

And while Ron and Lana’s turn was undeniably romantic, many viewers were quick to scoff at the location the producers had chosen.

The couple were sent to a place by the river where they enjoyed breakfast on a raised platform in the middle of the water where they sat barefoot in the pond.

Many took to Twitter to gleefully compare it to Shrek’s swamp, while others pointed out that they definitely wouldn’t want to eat with their feet in the water.

One joked: ‘She’s hitting Shrek’s swamp #loveisland!’ while another said: ‘My feet wouldn’t be in that water making that appointment, I’m just waiting for some animal to jump in!’

Another reacted, “I wonder if that pond has fish that eat dead skin,” while a fourth quipped, “It’s like pushing sims into the pond at dinner.”

Someone else wrote: ‘I don’t like the idea of ​​eating at a table with wet feet.’

Another wrote: ‘I couldn’t sit there with my bare feet in the water. I would just ask to be sent home on the next flight.’

A different person wrote on Twitter: I could NOT relax with my feet getting cold in that water.

It seemed that the couple got along very well as they enjoyed the date and talked about their future.

Ron said, ‘Day one and now look where we are, having a breakfast date on a river, a floating date!’
