Love Island star Marcel Somerville reveals ‘cheating’ wife Rebecca’s reaction to him entering the villa alongside ex Gabby Allen

Love Island All Stars’ Marcel Somerville has revealed ‘cheating’ wife Rebecca Viera’s reaction when he entered the infamous villa.

The hunk, 39, first appeared on the show in 2017 and finished in fourth place alongside ex Gabby Allen, who will also be in the villa and has outlined her hopes for a reconciliation.

Marcel is still married and is divorcing after splitting last year from Rebecca, with whom he shares three-year-old son Roman, after she admitted to ‘cheating’ on him with American rapper Slim Jxmmi.

Revealing how he broke the news to his estranged wife, he said The mirror:'”I had to tell Rebecca that I wouldn’t be there for a few weeks, she said, “I can’t believe this. I can’t believe this is happening.”

‘But she is now starting to understand that our relationship has broken down. We are dealing with a divorce. It has to come to a point where we have to move forward and live our lives separately.”

The Blazin Squad star admitted the news was a ‘shock’ for Rebecca: ‘She didn’t expect it to happen, but she has come to accept the situation because she made a mistake. I can’t put my life on hold when opportunities like this arise.”

It comes after Rebecca broke her silence on Neville’s appearance on Love Island by re-sharing a quote that read: ‘What makes you beautiful is that you stayed soft in a life you tried to harden.’

She also shared a sizzling bikini photo as she showed off her amazing figure in the two-piece as she posed in a kitchen.

She wore a matching bucket hat and wore ripped blue jeans, unbuttoned.

Following news of their split, Rebecca wrote a public apology letter, holding herself fully responsible for cheating on Marcel with rapper Slim Jxmmi.

She wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘Most of you would have seen what’s going on by now, I made a huge mistake, I embarrassed not only my husband but myself and both our families.

“My actions were foolish and hurt so many people around us, but especially my husband.

“I said a lot of things I shouldn’t have said and it was stupid of me, so I’m not going to sit here and justify my actions. Those decisions should never have been made.”

She added: “I want to apologize publicly to my Neville, just as loudly as the rest of the noise. Despite all the pain, shame and hurt I have caused him, there is nothing and no one in the world that comes before you and our family.

“Nobody could ever compare.”

She then posted a photo of the couple’s gold wedding rings, which were engraved with “always and forever.”

Marcel and Rebecca welcomed their son Roman in January 2021 and are now co-parents to their son.

Ending the year, Marcel said he was happy to say goodbye to 2024 as it was the “most difficult year of his life.”

And in September, Marcel shared a post looking back on his “stressful year” full of “ups and downs” and saying he wants to focus on his son Roman and “protect his future.”

He wrote: ‘It’s been a stressful year, with ups and downs, but you only get what you can handle.

‘Things happen in life that make you look at the things that are most important to you. For me, the most important thing to me is my Son, and I do everything in my power to make sure he is always WELL!”

“Protecting his future is something I’ve always tried to do, but if this year has shown me anything, it’s that life can always fool you.

“So I’ve been on a journey of learning and growth that has taken me down a path I had never considered before. I’ve learned that you can’t always protect them from everything life has to offer, but my priority now is to make sure I can give Ro everything he needs in life until I can’t anymore.

Marcel and ex Gabby are set for a very awkward reunion on Love Island All Stars, which starts on Sunday.

The pair met on Love Island in 2017 and almost a year later Marcel admitted he cheated on her during a romantic holiday to Mexico together, prompting her to dump him.

The pair had reportedly had an argument during their stay together, so Marcel chose to sneak out and meet another hotel guest.

A source said at the time: ‘They had an argument one night so Gabby went back to their hotel room to sleep. Marcel started chatting with another woman at the bar, where they kissed in full view of other guests.

‘Marcel and the girl slept together in her room and he left and went back to Gabby’s room but promised to see her the next day when Gabby was at the gym.’
