Her last boyfriend Jared broke up with her just four weeks after giving birth to their daughter Xaya in January 2022.

While her former partner Tom Kemp was abusive during their relationship and was jailed in 2020 for assaulting her.

Malin – who is half Swedish and half Sri Lankan – explained that her new boyfriend is also from Sweden and “was nothing like her usual type.”

She told New magazine: ‘It’s early days but I’ve never met anyone like him. I have never been as connected to anyone in my entire life as I am to him, and it makes me emotional to think about it.

“When you’ve been through all these abusive relationships, you can do the healing and then you feel comfortable being alone. I got to a point where I thought, “Maybe I’ll just be alone forever, just me and Xaya, and I’ll bask in that.” But now my heart is full.’

Meanwhile, it’s been a tough month for the star after she and her daughter barely escaped with their lives after their £100,000 BMW car exploded on the motorway.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Malin told how smoke started pouring from her car as she drove along a dual carriageway with the two-year-old boy.

Malin was cautious, telling how she and Xaya quickly got out of the vehicle, but it caught fire and exploded moments later.

She wrote a message on her stories: ‘This morning I was driving Xaya and my car started smoking out of nowhere.

‘I took Xaya outside and ran along the side of the dual carriageway in time, only for the plane to explode and catch fire a few minutes later.’

The beauty went on to say that she was “in shock” and will be taking some time away from social media while a friend handles any questions.

She added: ‘In shock I’ll stay away from here and @erintidey will answer emails or whatever is needed work-wise. Me and Xaya are safe and sound.”

Following her ordeal, Malin expressed her shock that she and her daughter were close to death, revealing that she now wants “answers” from the carmaker.

She told me The sun: ‘Normally things don’t bother me, right? I’ve had the grief and all those things happen to me, and I’ve dealt with it a little bit, but never anything that jeopardized my own life with my daughter. We were seconds away from death.

‘Someone around me has always died, does that make sense? But to feel Xaya and I in that situation was just next level. But I can’t believe they would allow a car like that on the road, a hundred thousand pound car. I want answers.”

Malin was cautious, telling how she and Xaya quickly exited the vehicle, but moments later it caught fire and exploded.

Malin, who only had her car serviced two months ago, goes on to recall how she was initially made aware of a problem when she was alerted to an ‘engine fault’ warning.

Her instincts were kicked in when she smelled smoke as she drove along, with the TV star immediately stopping her car, throwing her daughter on her back and fleeing from her daughter.

She added to the publication that while running she was spotted by an ex-soldier named Pete, who came to the rescue and put the mother and daughter in his own car for safety.

Malin told how she was left ‘stunned’ when she looked at her car and saw it in flames.

As for how her daughter reacted, she added, “She didn’t understand what was going on, and she started crying, and then she screamed, and then I cried and shook, and she just went, mommy breathing, mommy breathing . in.’

Furious about what had happened, Malin went on to explain that she had gone to the BMW garage that evening to ‘demand answers’, while BMV would reportedly ‘look into the matter’.

MailOnline contacted Malin’s representatives for comment.

Meanwhile, a representative for MBW told MailOnline: ‘We understand that this must have been a distressing experience for the customer involved and BMW takes any incident involving its vehicles very seriously.

‘While vehicle fires are rare, they can result from a variety of causes, including external factors. It is crucial to thoroughly investigate the individual case to accurately determine the cause.

‘Whenever BMW UK becomes aware of such incidents involving our vehicles, our technical inspectors are made available to support car insurers in determining the cause. Until this has been determined, we cannot comment further.”
