Love Island SPOILER: Olivia and Maxwell send a couple home

They were sent home thanks to a public vote on Wednesday night.

And in a shocking twist of fate, Olivia and Maxwell were given the option to send one more couple home after being told they were leaving the Love Island villa.

Host Maya Jama told the couple that they must choose between the remaining couples, Tanya, Shaq, Claudia, Keanan, Casey, and Rosie, all at risk, as to who would walk away.

In scenes to air Thursday night, Maya explains, “Now you must choose one girl and one boy from the remaining vulnerable couples to be kicked off the island tonight.” Please go and have a seat to discuss your reasons and make a decision.’

Viewers will see Olivia and Maxwell deliberate on who to send home, with Olivia admitting: “This is stressful, there are so many options.”

Having finally reached an agreement, they return to break the news to their fellow islanders.

Olivia says: ‘This has been a really difficult decision for both of us. Do you keep a couple that could rebuild a flame?

‘Got a guy and a girl who haven’t had enough time here? It has been very difficult to make this decision, there are so many options that we could have chosen.

The unique twist comes after fans rejoiced after host Maya announced that Olivia and Maxwell had been kicked off the island.

But their delight quickly turned to shock, as the host informed the islanders that the recently deceased would be the ones to choose who would go next.

Long dubbed the ‘villain’ of the show, fans couldn’t wait to see Olivia leave the show.

She and the recently exclusive Maxwell had been written out of the show after receiving the fewest votes from the public.

Asked how they felt about leaving, Olivia said: “Obviously it’s sad to leave these guys.”

“But I found what I came here for, so I’m happy to go with him.”

And while fans waited for them to make their long-awaited outing, they were instead handed a surprising decision.

In a never-before-seen plot twist, it’s now up to them to decide which two other islanders will follow them to the gate.

In their pick, they have Claudia and Keanen, Rosie and Casey, and Tanya and Shaq, who also received the fewest votes from the public.

Taking to Twitter as the episode aired, fans were left with a whirlwind of emotions.

One fan wrote: ‘Oh my gosh. The biggest twist yet. She’s gone and gone bad.’

Another added: ‘We’ve done it! She has left. Who is she taking with her?

Without words, a third said: ‘OH MY GOOD WTF IS THIS’

‘The witch is finally gone,’ added a fourth.

A fifth said, “Either way, I’m glad Olivia is OUT.”

However, some fans weren’t as happy with the plot twist.

‘Why give Liv the satisfaction? What, one questioned.

Another agreed: ‘Why would they let Olivia choose?!’

Joking, another fan asked: ‘Is Liv under contract to ITV? They just have to let her have the last word, right?

A fourth said: ‘Ffs, how can you give a villain a decision like this?’

It comes after fans were left happy after Jessie called out Olivia earlier in the episode for going “behind her back” and called her a “fake.”

It all started after the Australian beauty decided to weigh in after Casey confronted her friends Will and Tom.

But Jessie quickly found herself facing the wrath of the islanders who began labeling her ‘fake’.

Making her opinion known, Olivia told the girls that she didn’t think all of Jessie’s actions were ‘genuine’.

Defending their girl, Claudia and Samie then took Jessie aside to tell her what had been said.

Jessie, furious, went to Olivia to call her.

As all the girls from the Village gather around, Jessie asks, ‘What’s going on?’

Claudia adds, “Let’s clear the air because we girls are meant to stay together.”

Lana says, “First of all, can I just say that this doesn’t have to be a shouting match, this is a lot for nothing.”

As the conversation progressed, Jessie said, “I just got back from a conversation with Casey and everyone in the Village says that everyone is talking about something and I’m so confused.”

“I’ve been with all of you, even on movie night, I stood up for all of you girls.”

Claudia added: “The word fake was used.”

Olivia chimed in, “I never said false, please don’t say I said false because I didn’t.” I just don’t think this is a conversation we should be having between all of us.

Jessie asks Olivia, ‘Well, Liv, would you like to have a conversation with just us?’

Olivia replies, “Not really, not right now.”

Jessie says, “So you’re happy to walk over to the day beds and talk to a whole bunch of people about how you think I’m questionable but you don’t have an argument with me.”

Olivia tells Jessie, “It’s not just me though, you’re coming to me.”

Jessie replied, ‘You’re coming at me behind my back, calling me a fake! Just say it to my face.’

Olivia, still denying the allegations, said she never used the word ‘fake’.

But when the episode aired on Twitter, fans rejoiced at the news that the ring girl was being called out for her behavior.

One fan wrote: “Finally the girls are waking up to Olivia’s antics.”

Another said: ‘Finally Olivia is warming up!’

“This could be the situation we need for everyone to turn on Olivia,” added a third.

Praising Claudia and Samie for having her back, another fan added: “Let’s put it this way…I’d rather be friends with Jessie, Claudia and Samie than Olivia, Lana and Rosie…”
