Love Island reveal huge format shake-up for Meet The Parents episode and viewers are fuming

Love Island Unveils Massive Shake For Meet The Parents Episode And Viewers Are Outraged

It’s an iconic episode in any series where the islanders reunite with their own families and have some awkward conversations with their partners’ loved ones.

But this year, the ITV hit show has unveiled a huge shake-up for its Meet The Parents episode to air this Sunday, much earlier than in previous years.

This part of the show usually only airs a few days before the final, when there are fewer couples in the villa.

Love Island’s summer grand finale continues on July 31st, meaning the fan-favorite episode is coming to viewers much earlier this year.

But the change has not been well received by fans who took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.

One wrote, “I’m so confused how many parents come in, it’s still six couples,” while another wondered, “Parents yet?” When does Love Island end?’

One viewer made fun of the ITV budget as they joked: ‘Budget so big they’re bringing the parents of 12 people, that’s a lot of flying’.

While another tweeted, ‘isn’t it super early to have parents/family, there are about 10 people in that villa?!’

This fan furious: “It’s a bit weird that the parents come so early. Usually it is in the last week that there are only five couples left.’

Others poked fun at Molly’s shocked face in the preview, pointing out that she had only seen her parents a few weeks ago.

The fan wrote, “Why does Molly get emosh to see her parents, she was only with them a few weeks ago!”

Another offered the theory that they only brought the episode up to ease Molly’s mind in light of her recent drama with beau Zach.

“I feel like the parents are coming early because Molly is concerned about what they think in terms of Zach kissing Kady during the challenge. I feel like they’re doing it to reassure her so she can relax with Zach,” they tweeted.

When it comes, it always promises to be a dramatic episode, and at the end of Friday’s episode, viewers got a sneak peek at tomorrow’s episode.

In a first look, Molly and Zach look stunned as his sister, radio star Snoochie Shy, and her mom and dad, show up to surprise them.

They may have patched things up after their recent spat after the South London lad decided to kiss his ex Kady McDermott in a Snog, Marry, Pie game earlier this week. but it seems Molly’s dad isn’t happy when he comes down on Zach.

The Doncaster girl’s father pulls Zach over for a chat as he asks, “Can we have a chat?”

“Of course we can,” Zach replies.

The pair were voted ‘most unlikely’ in a challenge earlier this week, but all islanders agreed that opposites attract and the two are good together.

Fans also took to the social media platform to demand the return of the Twitter challenge where islanders show tweets from the general public, with participants’ names blocked.

One fan wrote: ‘it’s already up to the parents!? when the hell is the twitter challenge?’

Another savagely commented, “Meeting the parents is going to be hilarious as there is almost no love on this island and almost 100% hate.”

However, there has been a spark of love this week as Ty confessed his love for Ella and Sammy and Jess finally made their relationship official with the girlfriend and boyfriend labels.
