Love Island: Remi Lambert claims Jacques O’Neill’s pal punched him

Love Island star Remi Lambert claims a friend of his series co-star Jacques O’Neill set him up and beat him up.

Model and rapper Remi, 23, made the allegation via his Instagram Stories on Sunday night while calling for witnesses.

The former islander, who starred on the ITV2 show last summer, said he was walking home from a nightclub this weekend when Jacques, also 23, followed him.

He claims that former rugby player Jacques began arguing with him over a disagreement stemming from their time on Love Island.

It was then alleged that Remi was punched in a shock fit by an anonymous friend of Jacques, something he believes was premeditated.

Alleged incident: Remi, who appeared on the show last summer, said he was walking home from a nightclub this weekend when he was followed by Jacques (pictured), also 23.

Speaking: Model Remi made the claim via her Instagram Stories on Sunday night while calling for witnesses

Remi wrote: ‘I wasn’t going to mention this, but now it’s gone too far.

‘Last night I was mugged by one of Jacque’s friends. He and Jacques followed me on my way home from the club and stopped me.

‘Then Jacques started arguing about the Love Island meat which was a year ago. He clearly can’t go on.

‘Out of nowhere, his friend punched me.

‘I think it was a trap to make me react, but I’m too mature for this.

‘If you saw anything last night please send me a message.

In a separate post, he wrote ‘karma will get you’ over an image of a desolate rainy street at night.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Jacques for comment and Remi for further comment.

Cryptic: In a separate post, Remi wrote ‘karma will get you’ over a photo of a rainy street at night.

Remi previously claimed that his time on the show was “ruined” after an unaired fight with Jacques.

The fashionista reflected on his brief stint at the villa on the YouTube series Reality with Will Njobvu, admitting that he and Jacques butted heads several times, but the scenes never aired.

Remi said, ‘There were a lot of things that didn’t air… a lot of things were happening.

Basically, Jacques and I had a lot of arguments and it made my experience suck. It ruined it for me.

“People were saying, ‘It’s because he has a rugby personality,’ but you can’t treat people like that.”

When pressed by stranded islander Afia Tonkmore about the reason for the fighting, Remi added, “He was just trying to get to me.”

He also claimed that Jacques repeatedly imitated the voice, saying phrases like: ‘My name is Remi. I’m tough and I’m Manny’s.

“It was so jarring, but I was the only one who stood up for me because he always did that to people and I’d like to hit him and say ‘Shut up!'” Remi added.

“But yeah, we got into a lot of fights and stuff.”

Plots: Remi admitted that he and Jacques clashed multiple times, but the scenes never aired.

In August of last year, Remi accused Jacques and his series co-star Luca Bish of “bullying” him in a damning social media post.

The Manchester native stormed into the villa like a bomb on the ninth and was abandoned just three days later when he couldn’t survive the reunion.

His strong words for Luca, 23, and Jacques came after the pair took part in an Instagram Live where they made fun of Remi’s rapping skills.

In the video, Jacques was reading the fan comments and thought he saw one from Remi, but it was actually from a fake account.

Jacques said: ‘Remi just commented, ‘what are they saying about me and my rapping?’ I said that it is really very good, you should become a professional.

Luca asked, ‘Is Remi commenting? I can’t see the comments.

Jacques said yes and then repeated the rap comment in an apparently sarcastic tone.

Luca then said: ‘Pro? A professional rapper? He hasn’t… What is he going to do? Work at Harrods next year? which made Jacques laugh.

Remi shared the video on his Instagram and wrote a long post accusing Luca and Jacques of intimidating him while he was in the villa and said they should have been kicked out for their behaviour.

He said: ‘@LoveIsland I never joined his concert so I didn’t really comment. He made a fake account called remilambo. I don’t know why these guys have such a problem with me, they clearly have some serious issues that need to be resolved.

“Everyone said that I lied about the way I was treated in that villa, but this here is an example of what was going on while I was there.” I don’t know why they didn’t get kicked out for their behavior to be honest. They are not jokes, they are clear signs of bullying.

‘I wish everyone could see all the shit I went through. There are 24 hours in a day and you’ve only seen about 3-5 10 second clips of me all day, so you could never tell what was really going on.

‘Jacques said bad things about my appearance and my way of speaking, while Luca encouraged him. After about 3 jabs from Jacques, I told him that I would no longer speak to him in the villa.

Statement: Remi wrote a long post accusing both Luca and Jacques of intimidating him while he was in the villa and said they should have been kicked out for their behavior.

‘He later tried to apologize to me but about 10 minutes later he started making the snarky comments again. I’ve tried to avoid this guy several times, but he always ends up starting over. I don’t know when he will stop.

‘The worst person to represent mental health and ADHD campaigns. She’s still here making fun of not only me, but other islanders as well.

“You would think with such a big platform they would use it to promote peace, but they are using it for trolling and they love to get attention. Immature.

‘These guys are not role models or good people. Not once have they given a thought to my mental health. If I wasn’t so strong-minded, I might have done something stupid to myself now, but they don’t care at all. I want justice.
