Love Island Games line-up leaves fans awaiting VERY awkward reunions… after Megan Barton Hanson’s acerbic exchange with Scott Disick over former flame Eyal Booker and Georgia Steel’s Jack Fowler kiss ‘lies’

The line-up for Love Island Games was announced on Wednesday.

And in the wake of the big reveal of the cast, made up of a slew of stars from previous series, fans swarmed Twitter to revel in the potential awkwardness of the reunion between Islanders from previous seasons.

Leading the way in the awkward stakes is undoubtedly Eyal Booker and Megan Barton Hanson, who appeared in 2018’s fourth season after their brief marriage and romp ended in tears and an awkward altercation.

Following their departure from the villa, the showbiz world was rocked when A-lister Scott Disick sent Megan a bitter message about her treatment of her co-star – insisting she was ‘taking advantage of his vulnerability’.

From the same season comes former stars Jack Fowler and Georgia Steel, who shared a kiss that culminated in one of the season’s biggest dramas, while social media host Maura Higgins, of series five fame, will reunite with ex Curtis Pritchard.

Megan and Eyal had on-screen sex shortly after their coupling, before quickly ending their romance when he criticized her sexual appetite.

Islander Eyal failed to make a lasting connection on the show with model Hayley Hughes who sarcastically called him “hun” during a dispute, to which he replied, “I’m not your hun, hun.”

Following her villa stay, Megan revealed that Scott had snuck into her direct messages to demand she apologize to Eyal for mistreating him on Love Island.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star told Megan he was ‘disgusted’ by her behavior and ‘extremely disturbed’ after watching the ITV2 series.

Scott’s defensive comments came days after he confirmed his then-romance with Amelia Hamlin, the younger sister of Eyal’s girlfriend Delilah Belle Hamlin.

Megan shared the random correspondence on her Instagram Story, telling fans she was left “speechless” and “genuinely concerned” by Scott’s messages.

Scott said, “Hey, I recently saw your show Love Island. I had a few questions for you about it. Let me know when you’re around to talk about it,” to which Megan replied, “Hey you… What do you want to know? X’

He continued, “I was recently introduced to a beautiful man named Eyal. When I went to see what he was doing on TV, I was surprised at your behavior.

‘To find you robbing him and taking full advantage of his incredibly beautiful sense of humor and vulnerability. “I am extremely disturbed that someone could be so disrespectful to someone for no good reason.”

Elsewhere, Georgia and Jack’s connection was sparked when she caused friction in the villa when she chose then-newcomer Jack, who was linked to Laura Anderson, to go on a date with her, then caused chaos when she kissed him at the end.

The plot thickened when Georgia and Jack eventually gave different accounts of what really happened, with Georgia saying the kiss was mutual, but Jack saying it was unintentional.

Kissgate deteriorated when late presenter Caroline Flack oversaw a VAR glitch of the kiss on After Sun, only for viewers to point out continuity errors when replaying the kiss from different angles.

Georgia tried to set the record straight and admitted that the kiss had been filmed more than once. She said: ‘There was so much happening on the day that I didn’t really know what was going on at the time. I just do what I want to do and they get different angles…

‘I honestly don’t know anymore. I have no idea because there is so much going on and I’m just focusing on how often I have to do what I have to do. Was it more than twice? Yes’.

In 2020, Maura and Curtis split just eight months after leaving the Love Island villa when speculation surfaced that he became overly friendly with dancer Amber Pierson – something Maura called “a kick in the teeth.”

The Irish beauty explained that their relationship began to crumble hours after her first appearance on Dancing on Ice, when Curtis was pictured in a clinch with a girl at a New Year’s party.

Although Maura is not in the main cast of the show, she has signed on as a social media host, while Maya Jama will play the lead role.
