Love Island fans slam Jessie for bringing up Claudia with Casey

Claudia might have left the Love Island villa, but she certainly hasn’t left the conversation.

And fans were left confused as to why, after she was brought up by Jessie during the village ranking challenge on Friday night.

After the cast was asked to decide which couple are the biggest players in the game, Jessie could be seen weighing her options.

He then proposed Casey for the position, believing her antics with Claudia to be the main reason.

In a not-so-subtle whisper to his partner Will, he said, “I feel like Claudia’s been gone for two minutes and he’s acting like she never existed.”

It comes after Olivia from Love Island earned some rare praise from fans after she and Maxwell chose Claudia and Keanan to kick them out of the villa.

Olivia and Maxwell had received word that they were heading home on Tuesday’s episode, after host Maya Jama entered the villa to vacate.

But in a never-before-seen plot twist, the couple were informed that they would be the ones to choose who would follow them to the door.

Long dubbed the ‘villain’ of the show, fans couldn’t wait to see Olivia leave the show.

The couple then had to choose between Claudia and Keanan, Rosie and Casey, and Tanya and Shaq, who also received the fewest votes from the public.

And making her decision, Olivia explained how ‘difficult’ it had been.

She began: ‘This has been a really difficult decision. Do you keep a couple that could rebuild a flame?

‘Got a guy and a girl who haven’t had enough time here?

It has been very difficult to make this decision and there are so many options that we could have chosen.

‘But we’ve decided that the islanders we’re going to leave behind are…Keanan and Claudia.’

Meanwhile, other fans expressed their relief that Claudia was chosen to leave.

One fan wrote: “We got rid of Olivia and Claudia, order finally restored.”

After her departure from the villa, Claudia described the spill as “bittersweet”.

She said: “It’s a bittersweet feeling considering the whole Casey situation and there was no one else for me after that.”

“I left with Keanan, which was lovely and I’m excited to see my family now. It would have been nice to stay if someone had come for me, but Olivia and Maxwell chose me and Keanan was the right choice, everyone else had a connection and we didn’t.

‘I miss the Villa already, I woke up this morning and I was like where’s Samie? I miss her so much, we were literally best friends.’

Speaking about her relationship with Casey, she added: “From the moment I walked in, I was drawn to Casey.

“The way he looked, the way he presented himself, he’s the kind of person I would take home to my parents. We connected very well and I definitely saw potential.

“I was surprised towards the end how he handled things because I felt like we could have worked on the outside.

“I knew as soon as we got the text, I had a feeling, maybe because we were still pretty new and he was slow.”

‘My gut told me that if anyone turned their heads, it would be Casey’s. I think he dragged it out a bit towards the end.

“I have a hard time understanding how you can have a connection with someone for three weeks and then suddenly have a connection with another girl after three days if you’re slow.”

Meanwhile, Olivia warmed to her new man, Maxwell, admitting she’s “never felt like this before.”

She said: ‘I’m so glad I explored the connections and was there when Maxwell came in because it was definitely worth the wait!

We’re going to have a date as soon as we can. I’m so excited to meet his friends and family and he’s excited to meet mine too.

“It’s all very exciting, I’ve never felt like this about a guy before.”
