Love Island Fans In Hysteria Over Islanders Reaction To Rita Ora Performance: ‘She Says They Should Sing It But Honey We Don’t Know The Lyrics’
Rita Ora gave a VIP performance on Love Island on Tuesday night.
And while the islanders were thrilled to welcome another celebrity after Ne-yo’s visit, some viewers pointed out that they didn’t seem very familiar with Rita’s work.
The singer performed three of her songs at the beach club party, kicked off her set with her Fatboy Slim collaboration Praise You before launching her new release Don’t Think Twice and ended with her 2018 song Anywhere.
As they happily danced along, viewers noticed that the islanders struggled to sing along to the songs, despite Rita’s best efforts.

One viewer tweeted, “Not Rita telling them to ‘sing’ it like baby, we don’t do the lyrics.”
Another agreed, writing, “I still can’t believe the islanders pretended to know the lyrics while Rita was performing.”
Others, however, were impressed with an islander who was clearly a Rita fan. SCOTT KENT RITA ORA LYRICS!!! WHERE DID THEY FOUND THIS MAN?’ read a tweet.
Rita didn’t release Don’t Think Twice until the end of June, when the original islanders had already been in the villa for a month.
“Rita Ora said ‘I’m going to sing a classic’ and didn’t continue with POISON aka her best song,” one viewer commented. “Rita Ora sings tunes no one knows… sigh” another agreed.
Rita appeared on the show to play a set for the Islanders, performing a song from her third studio album You and I.
The star compared this album – which was released on Friday – to a ‘diary’ and has co-written every song.
Speaking of her new music, Rita said, “The ‘You’ in You & I represents more than just the man I love.

Trying their best: One viewer tweeted, “Not Rita telling them to ‘sing’ it like honey, we don’t do the lyrics”
“It’s my mom, my friends, my fans, and in some ways it represents the relationship I have with myself.”
“This album has been like my diary for the past two years and I’m so glad you’re finally getting to hear it.”
In Tuesday’s action-packed episode, viewers were hit with a double dumping that saw four islanders bid farewell to the villa.
Host Maya Jama crashed the party to announce that Whitney and Lochan had received the most votes from the public, but the reassurance that they would stay in the villa came at a high price.

Josh Brocklebank and Amber Wise received the fewest votes and were therefore dumped from the villa.
But in a huge twist, it was revealed that Whitney and Lachan would have to choose which couple to save, between Ella B and Mitch and Kady McDermott and Ouzy See.
Whitney and Ouzy confirmed that they had decided to rescue Ella B and Mitch, which meant that Kady and Ouzy would be dumped off the island.
Love Island continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
