A Love Island couple was surprised by elimination just days before the season finale.
Reports say the pair, who were seen together for the first time on Friday, have already packed up and left the villa in Mallorca, meaning they will no longer be able to compete for the top prize on the ITV2 reality show.
A source said The sun: ‘The reconnection comes as a huge shock to everyone. It’s been a very bumpy few days and tensions are high.
‘It’s almost time for the final, so this last chance really counts. It’s a nail-biting watch.’
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Love Island for comment.
A Love Island couple have been evicted from the villa and have already left in a shock eviction, and it’s just days until the series finale
The shock compensation means they will not get the chance to compete for the big cash prize on the ITV2 reality show
The couple’s departure follows an intense Grafties Awards ceremony, which has not yet been broadcast.
During the annual contest, viewers were able to vote for their favorite Islanders in categories such as Unfinished Business, It’s Giving One Sided and Epic Fail.
Fans were allowed to choose one of three Islanders for each category, but there are already rumours that viewers have filed complaints with Ofcom over what they described as “borderline bullying”.
The allegations came after Mimii Ngulube, 24, received multiple nominations for some of her actions, with clips highlighting her actions.
One of those clips included the secret terrace conversation she attempted to have with her former partner, Ayo Odukoya, also 24.
Ayo, on the other hand, with whom she had a love triangle at one point, seemed to avoid the nominations.
Fans of Taking to X noted how unfair this seemed:
‘Where are all the clips of Ayo for the grafties nominations? You guys clearly have an agenda with Mimi because you have barely shown the girl so far! Let’s not play this game! #loveIsland’.
A source told The Sun: ‘The recoupling has come as a huge shock to everyone. It’s been a very bumpy few days and tensions are running high.’

Thursday was the latest reunion, with new bombshells Lola, 22, and Harry Baker, 25, having to steal someone to mate with, but the source described the latter as ‘nail-biting stuff’
‘It’s not right that @loveisland didn’t add any of Ayo or Sean’s clips. This is bordering on bullying. #loveisland’.
Other notable categories include Dramatic Performance, with nominees Nicole, Ciaran and Jessy.
For Ultimate Pot Stirrer, Joey, Reuben and Sean are all contenders, while Grace goes up against Joey and Sean in Flirtiest Performance.
A post on Love Island’s Instagram page read: ‘Head to Stories now to pick the winners in these six Grafties categories!
“The ceremony will take place later this week.”
Meanwhile, ITV2 recently announced the final date for the current series. The show, which began on June 3, will conclude on Monday, July 29.
One lucky couple will be crowned champions of the 11th series and will receive a cash prize of £50,000.
