Love Island: All Stars’ Gabby Allen is open to a shock romantic reunion with ex Marcel Somerville despite his cheating and isn’t put off by the fact he’s still married

Gabby Allen admits she is ‘open’ to the prospect of a shock reconciliation with ex-boyfriend Marcel Somerville as the pair reunite on Love Island: All Stars.

The fitness influencer, 32, claims she hasn’t seen the Blazin’ Squad star, 39, for six years after their relationship ended shortly after their stint on the 2017 series when Neville cheated on her.

But after the boy band favorite himself fell victim to infidelity when his wife Rebecca Vieira strayed and subsequently ended their marriage, Gabby believes he may now have learned from his mistakes and could be mature enough to give their romance another chance give.

Speaking to MailOnline ahead of her return to the ITV2 series, Gabby said: ‘I’m a big Love Island fan and everyone is hot.

‘I’m generally open, not even just on the show, but I’d like to think it’s not just about looks, I want more from a relationship, I’m a bit older, there are certain things I like from a man desire. I’m going to be open to everyone and anyone who really comes in.”

About Neville, she added: “Obviously there’s an elephant in the room that my ex could potentially get into, but we haven’t seen each other in six years.

“It’s been so long, there are no hard feelings, it is what it is. I don’t know if he’s going in, I don’t know how to actually prepare for that… I’m actually preparing myself for him to come in and if he does, I’ll cross that bridge when I come to. It.

“I’d actually just like to have a conversation with him and hopefully put everything behind us and have some kind of friendship.

‘We know each other very well… we had such an experience with each other last time. There’s no reason why we can’t take the positives out of it and hopefully become friends of some sort.”

And she won’t let the fact that Marcel, who cheated on Gabby while they were on vacation together in Mexico, is technically still married while currently going through a divorce, stop a potential romance from blossoming.

Gabby explained: ‘I’m really happy for him… it’s been so long, and he’s a bit older too, so that had to happen.

“It’s really hard to read what happened and that’s why I also want to talk to him because if he were to go in, I hope he’s doing well and maybe we can get along somehow to deal with.’

Since finishing fourth with Marcel in the 2017 series, Gabby has reinvented herself as a fitness influencer and regularly shows off her toned physique on social media.

Indeed, she hopes that returning to the villa, this time in Cape Town, South Africa, can change the stigma that ‘strong women can’t be sexy.’

Gabby is more than prepared for the trolling she expects as she is more than used to it after eight years in the spotlight

The Liverpudlian admits that Scott Thomas, star of the 2016 series, is a new cast member she has her eye on, but she expects plenty of competition from her fellow female islanders

Speaking about her body, she said: ‘This is such a big part of who I am going back to the villa.

‘I want to represent myself and my brand, but women who are strong, I work hard to look the way I do and I want to show the world that they are strong and hopefully sexy too, that it is good to be healthy and fit and I will do that. I’m sure, the boys are doing their utmost.’

And Gabby is more than prepared for the trolling she expects, as she’s more than used to it after eight years in the spotlight.

She explained: ‘Just as I said that I am very confident and want to show that strong is sexy, I am also aware that this is not everyone’s cup of tea.

‘I already get that on socials, people say I look manly or that I looked better before when I share before and after pictures but it’s the same in there, I won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but this is how I feel feel the most confidence in myself.

“I know what I have to offer if someone isn’t particularly into an athletic woman, then just move on, you know?

‘I expect all kinds of comments on that, but I’ve been in the public eye for eight years now and I’ve had people say the craziest things. If they say my physique is too muscular, that’s a good thing because it shows that I’m strong.’

Gabby admits that Scott Thomas, star of the 2016 series, is also a new cast member she has her eye on, but she expects plenty of competition from her fellow female islanders.

She said: ‘As long as there’s a girl code, we’re all there for the same reason: if someone likes your guy, they’ll go for him. It’s every man or woman for themselves.

‘I am confident in what I can offer. I am open to discussion and reaching an agreement. We do it for ourselves, but I’m not going to shout about everything, I’m going to respect everyone, you have to set boundaries and levels.’

Asked what she will do differently this time in the new All Stars series, which starts on Monday at 9pm on ITV1, she added: ‘I plan to stay strong and be confident.

‘When I went into the villa last time, as I’m sure we all remember, I had some doubts about my confidence and when I came out of the show I really learned from that.

“I hope this time I go into it like I thought I would be last time. I’ve been working on myself a lot and I feel like I’m in a really good place. Every morning I wake up and remind myself why I’m there, who I am, and that I get everything done.”
