Love Is Blind fans were outraged after Micah Lussier’s best friend Shelby admitted she was “relieved” when Paul left her boyfriend at the altar.
The bombshell weddings episode finally aired on Friday and revealed which couples said “I do” and which said “I don’t,” with Micah and Paul going their separate ways.
Micah had shocked the congregation by asking Paul to reveal his answer first, before her partner left her heartbroken when he said he couldn’t marry her.
As Micah tearfully fled the wedding, her best friend Shelby – who has expressed her disapproval for Paul – was seen smiling and said she was “relieved” by the turn of events.
At the ceremony, she first admitted that she wishes she was “a lot more drunk” before laughing with her friends as Micah was seen sobbing.

When asked how she felt, Shelby said, “Frankly relieved. That’s how I wanted it to go.’
However, viewers quickly took to Twitter to criticize her behavior, claiming it was “terrible” for her to be happy instead of supporting Micah.
One fan wrote, “Shelby is a terrible boyfriend wtf? To sit there laughing????’
Another added: “This is very dramatic of Micah and her ‘friend’ Shelby laughing???”
A third tweeted, “This season’s real villain is mf Shelby,” while a fourth commented, “I want Paul and Micah to get married despite regret Shelby.”
And a fourth wrote, “The way Shelby shook me like a girl was grinning and looked totally happy after her ‘BEST FRIEND’ was dumped and as her bestie went off and sobbed, Mrs. Shelby looked overjoyed.”
It wasn’t the first time Shelby expressed her disapproval of Shelby and Paul’s relationship, before telling Micah that “it wasn’t like that” during a drunken night out.
She told Micah, “I think you deserve better. You are meant to have the best wedding of your life. You’re supposed to have all this, and this isn’t it.’
During the weddings episode, the ceremony took a very tense turn when Micah asked Paul to reveal his answer first, as she seemed insecure about his answer.

Despite declaring his love for the blonde beauty, he said: “I don’t think we can choose each other now. I think we’re not there.’
The bride admitted she predicted the heartbreaking outcome and never felt “safe” in the relationship — before dramatically running down the aisle in tears.
Breaking up Paul explained in an interview that he didn’t feel his love was “reciprocated.”
Micah and Paul didn’t have a smooth journey on the show, with Micah first getting to know both Paul and Kwame in the pods.
Micah then decided to cut Kwame off completely, while Paul cut his bond with Amber and the pair eventually got engaged before meeting in the real world.
During their vacation to Mexico, Micah then had a flirtatious chat with former flame Kwame around the pool and they seemed to be heading for a love triangle, but the couple quickly insisted there was nothing romantic between them.
When season four aired, Micah narrated Us weekly: ‘When I chose Paul, I completely chose Paul and I have never regretted it or looked back on it.’
The couple then moved in together and came into conflict over where they would live, Paul’s wardrobe and their closet space, but overcame the obstacles to continue planning their wedding.
Micah then had a very successful meeting with Paul’s mother, but Paul wasn’t as successful as he spent time with his fiancé’s friends – with Shelby not warming to him, insisting their romance was “unreal.”
While it is unknown if they are still together, they both still follow each other on Instagram.
However, they don’t seem to like each other’s recent posts and Paul also has an Instagram cooking page, which Micah doesn’t seem to follow.
Paul and Micah return to the screens for Love Is Blind: The Live Reunion and reflect on their journey in the show, also revealing what happened after the amazing wedding.
Before the wedding episode aired, Paul shared a cooking video to TikTok, prompting fans to speculate if they could have rekindled things.

The video showed Paul making a cioppino, but fans were convinced they heard Micah in the background, a hint that they could still be together.
Fans apparently heard a female voice in the background and took to the comments section to voice their theories, with one writing, “100% Micah’s voice in the background.”
Another said, “You can definitely hear Micah,” while a third asked, “Is that Micah in the background?”
Micah also re-shared a post on her Instagram Stories in which a fan said Paul’s recent haircut was “the only proof I need that he and Micah are still together,” to which Micah responded with a series of smiling faces.
The pair had candid discussions about where to live, with Micah dividing her time between Seattle and Scottsdale, where she owned an apartment, while Paul lived in Seattle.
Micah’s Instagram bio pinned her location as Seattle, without mentioning Scottsdale, while Paul’s TikTok account also says he lives in Seattle, possibly teasing their current situation.
However, it remains to be seen if the fan speculation was correct and the couple managed to rekindle things after the wedding twist, or if they went their separate ways.
In a first for the show, the reunion episode will air live on Netflix, with viewers able to tune in and watch the action as it happens.
In previous years, the reunion episode has been pre-recorded before airing on Netflix after the series finale, and is usually followed by more catch-up episodes called After The Altar.
