Love is Blind alum Jessica Batten welcomes her first child with husband Benjamin McGrath: ‘Meet Dax’
Jessica Batten of Love is Blind fame is a new mom.
The reality star, nearly 39, who announced her pregnancy in January, welcomed her first child with husband Benjamin McGrath, 36, on June 9.
She announced the arrival of her son on social media on Saturday.
“Meet Dax, June 9, 2023,” she wrote alongside a series of photos on Instagram that began with her sleeping in a bed facing her newborn’s crib.
Family photos show Ben’s older children, Poppy and Ethan, from a previous relationship, taking turns holding their new brother.

And it looks like young Dax is getting along with his big fur sister, Payton Hester, who patiently shared Jessica’s lap with him.
Jessica came into the public eye as a contestant on season one of Netflix’s Love is Blind.
Although she found love temporarily with fitness trainer Mark Cuevas, she was too attached to another man, Matthew Barnett, and that relationship ended at the altar.
Her crush on Matthew resulted in her being cast as the villain.
Matthew married fellow Love is Blind contestant Amber Pike at the end of season one.
“After the show ended, I didn’t date for a while, just because it was a very traumatic experience,” Jessica shared. USA weekly in December 2021.
“I mostly tried to dodge and take cover and fly under the radar.”
Love called Jessica again when Ben, a foot and ankle doctor, messaged her via Instagram DM in March 2020.

“He even contacted me on Instagram, and at the time Instagram was such a hard place for me to go, so I handed it over to a good friend of mine,” she shared Refinery 29 in August 2021.
The couple quietly tied the knot in August 2022 in Santa Barbara, CA.
Love is Blind alum Shaina Hurley sent a sweet, ‘Congratulations beauty!!!!! He’s perfect’ comment on Instagram.
“Yayyyyy he’s here!!!!” wrote season one contestant Giannina Gibelli.
Kelly Chase sent her own well wishes, writing, “he’s so perfect!” I love seeing you as a mom so much! Love you so much Jessie! Congratulations to you and Ben! can’t wait to meet Dax soon!’
Jessica now works in a tech startup.
