Now, 20 years after the film hit screens, Olivia took to the stage again to recreate her amazing performance of the Christmas carol at the Comic Relief Gala.

The event was organized by Love Actually director Richard Curtis.

Olivia's breathtaking performance was captured by his daughter, Scarlett Curtis, who shared a clip of the actress singing to her Instagram story.

In the clip, while donning a glittering silver dress, Olivia started showing off her perfect pitch.

While her entire performance wasn't captured, even the first few seconds showed off the star's vocal range.

Scarlett jokingly captioned the video: “Somewhat annoyed they asked Olivia Olson to perform and not me (second lobster) – but I'll get over it.”

In the past, Olivia revealed that her voice was so perfect as a child that crew members had to ask her to make mistakes.

Richard revealed on the Love Actually DVD commentary track that he asked the production to edit breath pauses and gaps in her performance to make her voice sound more realistic to a 10-year-old.

In a 2009 interview with Entertainment weeklyOlivia confirmed this and revealed that the crew gave her two days of studio time to record the song, but she did it in just 45 minutes.

'My father was in the room with the producers, and he said, “I'm telling you. Just record the practice. Record the practice.” They say, “Are you sure? Okay,”

“I sang it all the way through, and they said, 'Okay, thanks,' and then they turned the volume down so I couldn't hear what they were talking about,” Olivia told the outlet.

Later, the preteen's father explained that crew members were concerned that she sounded “too good” and that no one would believe she was actually singing.

So they asked her to make some mistakes.

She added: 'So they say,'Okay, hello, Olivia. Great job. Do you think you could do a little less well?”

“They actually told me I should sing it more honestly, and not do so many runs and trills. We recorded it again and they took advantage of that. So it took me about 45 minutes to do it, even though they gave me two days of studio time.”

Olivia has often opened up about her hit role and the effects it had on her self-esteem.

Last year she said her fame in the Christmas classic caused her to have a 'mental breakdown'.

She revealed that the cruel comments about her weight made her turn to voice acting.

She said The sun: 'I thank my parents for their support, because it is a miracle that I did not have a nervous breakdown.'

Olivia explained: 'The audition process is a constant rejection and at that age, when casting directors literally say to your face, when you're 12 years old, “Oh, we'd love to have you if you just lost 10 pounds,” it's something like: “What?”

She also revealed that she felt like an 'outcast' when she returned to school after filming Love Actually, saying she was bullied by her classmate for being 'famous'.

'I did have friends, but I didn't always feel like I belonged there. “I felt like an outcast,” she added.

She added that this was the reason she took up voiceover acting, as she felt physical appearance did not matter.

Since its release in 2003, Love Actually, which follows the intertwined stories of several characters in the run-up to Christmas Day, has become a bona fide festive classic.

The star-studded ensemble cast includes Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Bill Nighy, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Rowan Atkinson.

Twenty years after their beloved prepubescent romance stole the show in the iconic romantic comedy Love Actually, Thomas and Olivia reflected on their experiences.

Thomas, 32, and Olivia made their feature debut in the film as lovelorn Sam and his American crush Joanna.

In 2019, Olivia took to the stage again to audition for the X-Factor Celebrity. And although she gave many stunning performances, she was eliminated during the first live show.
