Louise Thompson has revealed her excitement at regaining her body, after two years of debilitating health problems.

The former Made In Chelsea star suffers from PTSD and postpartum anxiety after nearly dying when she gave birth to her son Leo in November 2021.

She has also faced a host of physical problems since the traumatic birth in addition to ulcerative colitis, which she was diagnosed with before becoming pregnant.

Giving her Instagram followers an update on Wednesday, Louise explained how she finally feels like her “old body” is returning after two years of extreme weight swings.

Louise told her followers about her brand during the Turtle Method’s Christmas fitness challenge that she was “really excited about something for the first time in a very long time.”

‘I feel my body come to itself again. It’s always been there, but it feels more like my old body,” she added.

Pregnancy: The star went on to explain how her weight has been ‘loco’ for the past few years, revealing that she was ‘nearly half my body weight during my pregnancy’

‘My body hasn’t felt like my body for two years now. There are still things that I haven’t done since my pregnancy for two years, which is so strange. I haven’t had any alcohol in two years.’

“There are certain things I didn’t eat, I only recently started exercising. Actually I haven’t lived for two years and now I’m going to live.’

She added the words “I feel like a virgin to life” to her candid Instagram story.

The star went on to explain how her weight has been “loco” over the past few years, revealing that she was “nearly half my body weight during my pregnancy.”

During her extended hospital stay after her traumatic birth, Louise explained how she “was unable to eat or move much for the better part of a month, which caused me to lose all my muscle and fat.”

Shortly after she “gained on at the beginning of the year from being full of mental health meds, we switched meds and I lost my appetite”

Her battle with colitis “got really bad” in mid-2022 and Louise was hospitalized again, ending up “malnourished and very thin.”

She gained weight again when she got home and was on steroids, admitting, “I started eating like an absolute pig, my face and body went like a train.”

Louise concluded by saying that she is ‘FINALLY starting to get my normal body weight back. WHAT A TRIP.’

Louise has had a difficult year after she nearly died giving birth to her son Leo, who she shares with husband Ryan Libbey, and spent five weeks in the hospital with “serious complications.”

She has since battled post-traumatic stress disorder and post-natal anxiety, admitting in January that she cried up to 20 times.

The star has been honest with her fans about her day-to-day struggles, revealing at times that the anxiety felt “inexplicable” but now she’s learning to “make sense of it.”
