Louis Tomlinson has sent a heartfelt message to his fans after they had to flee his concert at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater after being pelted by golf ball-sized hail.
The One Direction star, 31, was due to perform at the outdoor venue on Wednesday night but the show was called off when up to 100 required medical attention due to injuries from the bad weather.
West Metro Fire Rescue reports thisseven people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and another 80 to 90 attendees were treated at the scene.
Louis has now said it was “devastating to see so many people affected” and wrote that he hopes those injured are on the mend.
He wrote, “Sending all my love to everyone who was affected by the extreme weather in Red Rocks last night. I hope everyone has made it home safely and everyone injured is on the mend, it was devastating to see so many of you affected.

Some fans took to Twitter to claim they suffered broken fingers and hands from the hail, while footage from the scene showed others being treated by medics.
Shocking footage also showed the massive hailstones littering the outdoor theater, as Louis tweeted that he was “devastated” that the show had been cancelled.
One fan tweeted, “Tonight was the scariest night of my life. It started pelting people with hail at Red Rocks and luckily my sister and I found shelter under a sign.
‘I’m bleeding and have huge bumps on my head from the hail. I hope everyone got out safely.’
Another fan responded, “I’m so sorry. We just left the same show. I have a broken hand from the hail.’

One concertgoer tweeted an image of a large chunk of hail in her hand, while another shared video of hail and flooding pouring down a flight of stairs, writing that it was “straight out of a horror movie.”
Another wrote: “Hail the size of a golf ball. Turns out it hurts. Pretty. Sorry to ruin your first show in Red Rocks @Louis_Tomlinson.”
Louis’s show had already been postponed when the heavy hail started, and despite being cleared to go ahead at 8:35 pm, was postponed again just before 9:15 pm.
Finally, at 10:25 p.m., the venue tweeted, “Tonight’s show has been officially postponed. Please be safe when exiting the amphitheater – we will have more information for ticket holders soon.’
One concertgoer told local Fox affiliate KDVR that she and her friends sheltered in a toilet cubicle for over an hour before the show was finally cancelled, while another said she thought her finger was broken by the hail.
“Literally the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced,” said one.
“Should have canceled at the first delay. Complete idiot. Louis must be furious,” another wrote.

Louis team later shared a statement on its official Twitter, writing, “Unfortunately, due to current weather conditions in the area, tonight’s show at Red Rocks has been postponed. All cardholders will be updated in due course.”
The singer then took to Twitter to write, “Devastated about the show tonight, I hope everyone is okay, I’ll be back!
“Even though we didn’t play the show, I felt all your passion! I send you all the love!’
