Lorraine Kelly hosted less than 60 per cent of her namesake show this year, it is revealed – and ITV fans are all saying the same thing

Lorraine Kelly presented less than 60 per cent of episodes of her eponymous ITV show this year, it has been revealed.

The Scottish presenter, 65, has led a chat show named after her on the channel since 2010.

However, in recent years her appearances have become fewer and fewer, with her often being replaced by alternative presenters Christine Lampard and Ranvir Singh.

This regular occurrence inspired the creation of a social media account called ‘Where is Lorraine?’ – who shares updates every day about who is hosting the program. It also shares ‘Bonus Lorraine’ updates as the host appears on various shows while absent from her own shows.

And to round off the year, the account shared ‘Lorraine Wrapped’, revealing that she has only hosted 59.7 per cent of episodes this year, which equates to just 154 out of 258.

Impressively, the Wrapped showed that the most episodes Lorraine hosted in a row was just eight, sending fans into hysterics.

Via X, formerly Twitter, the account shared its findings on Tuesday with the help of two handy images.

The graph showed that the presenter who featured for Lorraine most often was Christine with 52 episodes (20.2%), followed by Ranvir Singh with 49 (19%).

Meanwhile, Joel Dommett and Louise Minchine each presented two episodes (0.8%) with Andi Peters taking the lead for just one (0.4%).

Sharing the stats, the account wrote: ‘Lorraine Kelly presented a pre-recorded look back at the year on her own show this morning.

‘Congratulations #Lorraine, you’ve hosted 154 out of 258 (59.7%) episodes this year.’

But one thing that really amused fans was that Lorraine had only hosted eight consecutive episodes, from January 2 to January 11, before another presenter took over.

And when the presenter took her huge summer holiday later that year, Christine was at the helm for fifteen episodes in a row.

Fans wrote: ‘Sorry, but the fact that the highest number of consecutive episodes she hosted is EIGHT is insane’;

‘Lorraine who does her job for eight days at the beginning of the year and then thinks ‘I’ll never do that again’ is hilarious,’;

‘Only 8 consecutive episodes presented by Lozza?! Obscene!’; ‘Her longest streak was 8 LMAO’;

“Hosting her own show only eight times in a row (that was almost exactly a year ago) plus every weekend off, I think she takes every Monday or Friday off too? Plus a month of continuous vacation plus all the other vacation days, not bad if you can get them’;

‘ Going to work for eight days in a row and saying ‘that’s enough’ is the energy we should all follow’;

‘Obsessed with Lorraine attempting to do her job well in the first eleven days of January and then thinking, no, that’s enough now’;

“She actually clocked out after the first week of the year and decided that working full-time wasn’t for her,”;

Other hilarious stats from the Wrapped update included that there were twenty Bonus Lorraine appearances throughout the year as she popped up on other shows including The Masked Singer.

And she was even a guest on her own chat show twice.
