Lorraine Kelly blushed when Ben Shephard revealed her husband’s VERY risqué text messages

Lorraine Kelly blushed Thursday when Ben Shephard shared the racy text messages her husband sends her during his live shows.

Ben and co-host Susanna Reid were wrapping up Good Morning Britain before doing a live link with Lorraine, and the presenter couldn’t resist bringing up an article involving her and Steve.

And Lorraine, 63, was clearly shocked by her partner’s cheeky messages revealed when she asked Ben: ‘How did they get hold of that?’

During the live link where Lorraine explained what was coming up on her show, Ben, 48, quizzed her about the newspaper article, joking: “He seems to be very generous with his affections while you’re on air.”

He often likes to say how wonderful you look in the morning in an affectionate way.

Fun moment: Lorraine Kelly blushed Thursday when Ben Shephard shared the very racy text messages her husband sends her during his live shows.

To which a red-faced Lorraine replied: ‘It depends on what I wear. It depends on how much I’m showing.

Going into more detail, she continued: “Sometimes he says ‘Nice tits,’ before asking about the story: ‘How did they get hold of that? Where did that come from? Have I been talking too much again?

And while Ben suggested that Steve, whom Lorraine married in 1992, might be the source, Lorraine did, in fact, spill the beans herself in an interview with Woman’s Weekly magazine.

Meanwhile, Susanna, 52, said of the situation: “As we approach Valentine’s Day, how beautiful. Your husband still texts you to say “Nice tits.”

With Ben chiming in, saying, “The next time Lorraine is on her show and looks at her phone, it could be Steve sending a little message.”

Lorraine didn’t feel so sure about this though, as she pointed to her geometric print shirtdress that was buttoned up to her neck and said, “This dress isn’t going to be getting any feedback from him this morning though, Ben.”

As Ben replied, “I’m sure he’ll send you something lovely anyway.”

Wrapping up the light-hearted exchange, Susanna said: ‘You always look fabulous, Lorraine. There are many serious problems, so it’s good to have a moment of joy.’

In her earlier chat with Women’s Weekly, Lorraine recounted how the secret to keeping her 30-year marriage alive is to “keep things flirty.”

She explained: “Of course intimacy is important at whatever stage of a relationship you’re in, you have to keep it alive.”

“After 30 years, Steve still loves me.”

In 2021, Lorraine gave a rare glimpse into her 29-year marriage to husband Steve, revealing that their sex life is “going great.”

The daytime TV presenter, who married cameraman Steve in 1992, says the secret to keeping intimacy alive is to “have confidence,” adding that “many older women can feel invisible.”

She added that despite going up a dress size after eating with her husband during lockdown, she’s not worried about the extra pounds and doesn’t even own a pair of scales.

‘It’s about having confidence in yourself. Many older women may feel invisible, but I don’t,’ he told her to the Mirror.

She said that despite going from a size 10 to a 12, she won’t count her calories and will try to shed the extra weight by taking Zumba classes and avoiding sugary snacks.

‘I’m not going to punish myself for that. I don’t have a scale, so I don’t know how much weight I’ve put on. I always go by how my clothes fit.

“I don’t think calories should be counted, but I’m not stressed about the extra pounds.”

Steve, who shares daughter Rosie with Lorraine, has stayed out of the limelight and has previously praised her husband for “picking up the slack” and allowing her to juggle her busy work and family life.

He told the publication in September: ‘It takes over and always has. I couldn’t do what I do if it wasn’t for him. It makes me laugh a lot. He is very kind and a brilliant father.
